Everything was great. They worked well with us on changing our dates because of our daughter giving birth and we live in a different state. Each member was very welcoming and polite. The room was extremely clean, smelt wonderful and it was very accommodating.

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and I recently spent a Saturday night with another couple at the Hampton Inn on University Avenue in Urbana, IL. The purpose of the trip was to revisit the U of I campus and bike the Kickapoo Bike Trail. We picked the hotel for its location - it’s just north of the U of I campus, so it was a good starting off point for our campus tour. We booked our room on the Hampton website and each room cost $129, which seemed a bit high in the school off-season, but it was on a Saturday and close to the campus. The hotel is located on a fairly busy street so there are many dining places in the area. In fact, there is a Perkins restaurant that shares the parking lot. Outdoor parking is free. The lobby decor is fairly modern with the expected COVID signage, but enforcement was pretty lax since the state had just reopened that weekend. Check-in was fast and staff were friendly, professional and very accommodating. (We got a late check-out.) There is a fitness center. An indoor pool is in back and it appears there once was a whirlpool, but it’s been removed. We didn’t use any of these amenities. Although we didn’t see it, the website says there is a business center. There also is free WiFi. Our room (201) came with a king-size bed and loveseat. Decor was in pleasant earth-tones. There was a rollout table/desk arrangement. There was wardrobe instead of a closet which housed an iron and ironing board. There was a coffee maker, flatscreen TV, to microwave and small refrigerator. (Our friends’ room - 212 - had a dresser with no microwave or fridge.) The bed was comfortable. It came with four somewhat flat, feather pillows. The AC worked fine. The bathroom was functional with a tub/shower combo. There was a hairdryer and a selection of Neutragena toiletries. Laundry facilities are also available. The lobby doubled as the lounge/breakfast area. A full breakfast was included with the rate: the usual cold options, as well as some hot items. The hotel was VERY clean. Reduced maid service is an option to go green. Apparently, once a room is cleaned, hotel staff place a seal on the door indicating it’s status. (See picture.) Our friend’s room had a seal, but ours didn’t. No matter, the room appeared well-cleaned. All in all, we were very satisfied with our stay, and would stay again if in the area.

Every single staff person was so friendly and absolutely anxious to see to your ever need. It was such an amazing stay during a difficult time. The location so close to the hospital and Perkins restaurant were perfect. The beds were comfortable and rooms appeared meticulously cleaned

The place seemed very clean and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was also good for a hotel amenity. The location was good for what we were doing also. I would stay here again if the same deal were available.

The floors in our room were so sticky and turned my feet black. One of the more outdated and less clean rooms I’ve stayed in with Hampton. Tub didn’t drain fully. No mini fridge. We did request a room transfer and got it but feel we should have had a room upgrade.
