Havoysund hasn't a lot to for itself, but it is great fishing. As well from the boat as from the shore. And this hotel provides everything you need after a long day outside in the wind. A good meal, a nice spacious room, hot shower and a good bed.

an unplanned stopover turned into lovely and tasty late-lunch experience outdoors.
after a bit of search we located this place late afternoon and within no time the chef started up the kitchen, beer, wine and a delicious tempura shrimps starters were on the table, enjoyed by all until the fish dish arrived. tasty and lovely prepared and displayed.

One week if great cod fishing in Havøysund.

Location of the hotel was good in the middle of the village. The hotel room was basic and clean. However very disappointing experience. Wiew was towards a building supply market w. lots of timber. There was no information about the services in the room. The whole enviroment and atmosphere were kind of sad and not cosy at all. Breakfast was really poor, nothing fresh or warm included. Menu was also poor, nothing local - no fish. The service was not rude, but we didn't feel at all welcome when checking in or when having dinner/breakfast. They kind on ignore the guests - no smiles, no friendly words (no words), no eye contact.

Having travelled extensively from Grense Jakobselv to Hammerfest and everywhere in between, this is by far the most disappointing place I’ve stayed at. It’s more like a motel than a hotel. Check in was quick but the gentleman serving me was quite curt and I certainly wouldn’t class him as warm and friendly. Maybe it was a language thing? (My Norwegian is very limited). The room itself is very basic yet quite a nice size. The WiFi was intermittent but my biggest issue was the bed; my goodness-the mattress collapsed as soon as I laid on the bed and it has obviously seen better days. With the amount the hotel charges, I’m sure they can invest in better beds? Maybe they count on the fact that are no other competitors nearby (closest being Olderfjord and Honningsvåg) plus I’m guessing most people will only stay one night, so the owner knows that people won’t come back anyway. In a way it was a shame that I ended my journey from the northern most easterly point to the northern most westerly point in this place as I obviously didn’t save the best for last. So if you’d like to visit Havøysund, make it a there and back trip and stay either near Nordkapp or Olderfjord.
Three plus points though: firstly, I had dinner at the hotel and it was absolutely fine and tasty. Secondly, the breakfast was good and my last point: the journey to get to Havøysund is pretty spectacular.

Great house, the best boats and TOP guiding for a week Havoysund, We are so happy we have this in our program. Im just back from my winter-trip and it was great, lot of cod, halibut and Steinbit It was a great week. Food and service were great !

Only been here to eat and drink. We were lots of colleagues that worked late. All the places to eat in Havøysund was closed for the night, but the hotel made us some pizzas even after the kitchen had closed. Not only did they show us excellent service, but the pizza was good too. I rarely give 5 stars, but the service was so great, there's no way around it.

Today we have had dinner at this restaurant, the food is great, spareribs, steak and rise. Quality was very nice, it is a great cook. The accommodation is also very nice, nice houses and good hotel rooms.

Really impressed from this nice simple but clean hotel in the centre of Havoysund. P-place in front of the hotel, wifi, shop on 300m and a great restaurant with very good food, also is there a option to eat for a good price king-crab ! The road to Havoysund is a dream, it is a very very nice area. On the way you can see reindeer and Moose. We love this place it is one big family, that lives for the guests.
