Cosy rooms, quiet area. Easy to find, friendly hosts. Shared kitchen with all equiptment, free coffee and tea. Nicely decorated house -- frescos outside, the main elements are bears. We could recomment for overnight stay if you are visiting this area.
Nicely decorated exterior with a lovely garden. The building itself is nicely renovated. You're welcomed by the host in a cozy lobby area, where you're able to find your way to your room. On the 1st floor there is a kitchen that is filled with all necessary appliances. My only complaint is that the rooms weren't sound proof at all and some of the noisier guests can and will disturb your beauty sleep.
Very nice family run hotel good food quiet area helpful hosts clean warm rooms but needs some minor maintenance the rest is very good. Good for families or traveling with friends. The location is also very nice.
Outside; there are a lot wonderfull frescos. painted by estonian painter Eduard Kont, These are illustration from estonian fairy tales, and pictures from traditional estonian holydays. Magnificent! Outside: clean and luxurious. Hosts are very friendly
Kuldkaru manor is a great place to stay, even in winter. We stayed here 2 nights - the whole place is kept super warm, no problem at all with cold nights. Rooms have a nice feel - wooden floors/walls, very comfortable. Bathrooms are shared. There is a downstairs common area for sitting and drinking tea or coffee. There is also a sauna for guests use. Another advantage of this place compared to downtown Kohtla Jahve is the peace and quiet. It's 8km outside of town, and SO peaceful. Breakfasts are prepared by the owners - we were given pancakes with cheese/cream, cherry jam. And yoghurt, pastries coffee. We weren't offered a choice - but we enjoyed it. And the prices are very good, good value. Thank you to the owners for their welcome and hospitality. One thing also to note - which could be a blessing in disguise - is that internet/wifi is not so great!…
