Booked here as a last minute stay before on to a holiday. We stayed in the family room, wow, what a room. Lovely, clean, so much room! Had a great nights sleep and the breakfast was cooked to order in the morning. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend if you need a stop off that's easy access from the M4!

I spent 2 nights here in early August when visiting Microsoft. I will admit my overall opinion improved over the second night as my sat nav hadn't sent me on a 30 minute diversion through congested roads to end up at the back of hotel with no way of getting to the front without retracing my route. This meant an...

Nice olde-world hotel. Friendly service and lovely quaint rooms in the main hotel with exposed timbers. Our room had a four poster bed and a massive bathroom. Very clean. Nice breakfast in the morning too. Ample car parking. Set in a nice location even though it is being encroached upon by a nearby retail development. Would recommend... but make sure...

Slightly less than a Manor House approach (encroaching disagreeable development) the end result is very good. Another historic building rescued from developers even if reasonably sympathetic additions are to be tolerated. Pleasant interior and decor. Lunch very good and good value. Good staff. Ours was a group visit well served, staffed and for. Section of a large dining room screened...

Hearing this was under new management, we gave it a try for lunch. We were late for our booking due to other commitments and the kitchen was almost closed... BUT.... The staff were really accommodating and friendly, they made sure we got some lunch. The bar area was clean, as too were the tables and cutlery. The choices on the menu...

Attentive staff, great rooms, which were spacious and used the architecture of the old building well. Really nice freshly cooked breakfast and the wedding breakfast, hog roast and bbq. Great location close to M4
