For a series of events we arrived at the old rectory at 2200. So first advice is to arrive over there when there is still sunlight or it might be hard to find (coming from London the old rectory is on your right hand side as soon as you enter Chicklade). However Lynda was so kind to help me out...

Very friendly and welcoming, high quality rooms and excellent breakfast. Super location for easy access to region via A303. Beautiful Georgian house. Parking available, easy to find from main road. Bed extremely comfortable.

Excellent bed and breakfast, lovely owners who couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was excellent with home made muesli and full English. Beautiful house situated on the A303 next to a very old church. This is my fault but because it is on such a major road, but there was a lot of noise which affected me sleeping. I knew...

Friendly owners, nice rooms, good breakfast, convenient location - excellent job. Took the family room for 4 of us including two "large" children - worked very well as a one night stop over. It is very close to the A303 so could be traffic noise if you sleep with the windows open, but we had a very quiet night with...

Very conveniently located on a quieter section of the A303, however this makes it dark at night and easy to pass on first attempt, as we did. Once inside you can expect a very...

Lovely house and lovely owners Colin and Lynda. They couldn't be more helpful, the breakfasts were fantastic. The guest house is on the A303 so be prepared for some noise but you do get used to it and it makes easy access for all the local attractions. We would have no hesitation in recommending the old rectory and we will...
