Took our grandchildren to view the animals at the park on a Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful Illinois late August day. We saw the large animals out in the field, the birds of prey, a bobcat, and a lazy cougar. But nothing else. The bear, the fox, the coyote, they were no where to be found. Escaping from the...

Attended wedding here. Beautiful setting! Everything went off without a problem though minutes before it was pouring rain. Caterer Frank. Great. Wiped of chairs and we still had outdoor wedding ceremony! Beautiful. Highly suggest. Great place for outdoor wedding! Reception was in one of the big rooms. Great balcony and Windows raised for great view of animals. Food was tasty...

We have been wanting to stay overnight at the park for several years, and finally did it, selecting the Cabin on the Hill. As another reviewer from last year noted, this is not an accessible place, with a short flight of uneven steps leading up from the private parking area to the cabin. The cabin itself was very clean, the...

This review is of the park and none of the hotel questions below fit my review so will just mark those all Not Sure. To me this is an attraction and I will review it as such. Love this place and have been coming here since 1986. It has seen many changes, some better, some not. This time seemed more...

We have been here many times with our own children and now our grandchild. Even though our grandson, now 8, has been here a couple of times before, he found new things that interested him. This is so much better than a zoo! Even though the animals are not completely free, they are not behind bars! You have to search...

We went a couple weeks ago, and it was ok. We purchased all day passes for the train. I do not recommend that, as you ride the train away from all the animals except a few goats and some dear. Along the way the have decoy birds set up, kind of weird, like ducks, owls.. Also, they had a squirrel...

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your time with us. We are always striving to improve and appreciate your suggestions. The train is meant to be scenic and we will be sure to promote it that way from now on. I am sorry you were mislead into thinking that the train was through the animal trails. If...

We used to always have a Family Membership here and enjoyed it..The past couple years we visited the park a couple times and were disappointed worse with each visit. This used to be such a nice place to visit, see the animals and walk..Now its starting to fall apart and the Maintenance doesn't seem to be getting done. This is...

This is an awesome place to go for people from animal-lovers to hikers! I go here all the time. If you live close and go a lot I recommend a membership. A fun starter part of the park is the sliding board! It's really long but you will go slow if you don't bring a blanket to sit on. I'd...

No bad place to visit. They have fox, egrets, cougar, bear, bold eagles, as well as some domesticated animals such as donkeys, pigs etc over there. There's a banquet building for special occasions like weddings.

“Caboose was a fun experience. Also have cabins, cottages, silos but only sleeps two or three also stable rooms available. OH! There is fishing available too but you must bring your own equipment. Not sure about the fishing license situation. Call the park and they can tell you. There are some good coupons available if you purchase a package!”
