I did two business trips to Pekin and I tried two different but comparable hotels. I first did the EconoLodge in Pekin and the second I did the Super 8 in Pekin and both were about the same price. See my review on the Super 8; the EconoLodge was way better. The room was rather dated which made it feel slightly dirty but the bed sheets seemed clean. I had a suite that was roomy and the bed was decent (though the comforter left a bit to be desired). The room had your standard fridge, microwave, iron/iron board, and wifi. The continental breakfast was adequate (not like the Super 8, ugh) with cereal dispensers, juice dispensers, coffee/tea and a waffle maker. Everything looked fresh. I would recommend the EconoLodge every day and twice on Sunday over the comparatively-priced Super 8. Also I could not justify paying over $50 more per night to stay at the Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn.…
For the money, the best around. Not close. Clean, comfortable and affordable. Got 2 adjoining rooms. Quiet, and an ample breakfast. Friendly owner, pool was nice as well. Stayed w points for one room and paid for the other. 8k points for a room is unheard-of
First of all, let me say that this is the best hotel in Pekin in the price range. We always stay here when we visit our son. The Econo Lodge does many things right. The beds are comfortable. The room is very well lit, even the area with the sofa. The older I get, the more important this is. While the bathroom is quite small, there is plenty of counter space. The wifi always seems to work well, and there are plenty of outlets. The guy who always checks us in is wonderful. There are also some issues with this hotel. It is older and shows it. The sofas in the sitting area are all different and probably came from thrift shops. Some are much better than others. My biggest issue is with breakfast. It is not up to what travelers expect in hotels today. There is only one hot food--waffles. The toaster has one side that doesn't work. I first noticed it when we stayed last November and it was still not working in March. Spend a few bucks and get a toaster that works! Also not one staff member checked on the breakfast room the whole time we were there. On the positive side, the bagels are excellent!! We will continue to stay here as it is the best option. However, we feel that it is a little pricey for what you get.…
Had a long trip was really tired and when we arrived at hotel staff greet us with smile and with excellent customer service. Rooms were clean, sleek good, comfortable bed, bathroom was really clean. Hotel was surrounded by lots of good restaurants and was close to everything.Breakfast was nice.Nice pool which kids were looking forward to and they had so much fun
Enjoyed the stay w/ our family. No frills but clean and had everything we needed and all the extra things we asked for. Would definitely stay there again. We didn’t try the pool, but they have an indoor one.
This hotel is simply horrendous. Just don't stay here. The room smelled like a gym locker room. The bed was terrible. The desk clerk was fine but the stay was AWFUL. There are a couple other places in town or else stay in Peoria but DO NOT stay here.
It was very quite and clean room, all the amenities were updated felt like nice 4 star room. Hospitality was very friendly very Nice Breakfast. They cooked up home cooked meal during our holiday stay, how wonderful !!!! parking lot was well lit and clean. I would definitely go back when returning back from my trip.
After a very long trip we stayed here and are glad we did. The room was quiet, comfortable and the front desk personnel were very friendly. The hotel is set far back from the highway, so the location enhanced the quiet. The breakfast was basic with yogurt, waffles, breads, cereal, etc.
I appreciate the value of this hotel and stay here when visiting family. It is conveniently located, clean and comfortable. Mr. Patel, the manager, is an added bonus. He is professional and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
As we were attending a softball tournament at the Dome, this was a place we could use during the tournament. Parked the vehicle all weekend and did not have to get back in till we left. Close to the Dome and to the local eateries.
