This hotel is well removed from the interstates, and very much on the outskirts of Pekin proper. Its location, and seeming popularity with contractors, may account for how quiet we found it. The public areas as well as our room were clean and reasonably well appointed; there's an indoor pool but no hot tub. We did have a problem with our refrigerator, which was running but refused to keep anything cold. Breakfast was well above HIE standard; the elderly lady who was staffing the breakfast area kept the tables clean, and steadily refreshed coffee pots and the food trays, which sported tasty omelets as well as the usual array of turkey and pork sausage, eggs, and biscuits. If you are looking for a clean and quiet hotel, and don't mind driving in from the interstate, this one should fit the bill.…
I traveled to this hotel for work. When I checked in I had to wait because of a computer issue. Heather was able to make me a key and let me into a room while she got the computer situated. I was so very happy to not have to stand there and wait. I had just finished work and was ready to rest. Couldn’t be happier with a pleasant welcome.
I was impressed how clean this hotels lobby was upon arrival & my room was just as clean. Plenty of restaurants near by chose from & Walmart across the street.Today I needed something and Ashley from the front desk went up and above to make sure that I got what I needed to make my day more pleasant. Comfortable beds, non smelly heat/air units & good water pressure has made my stay wonderful. The best part was to wake up and go downstairs for a hot breakfast & coffee. I travel each week & this hotel chain is the first place I’ve come across since covid that is serving pancakes, cheese omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, along with many cold items. They have a staff member make it for you and you can either eat it there or the staff will pack it up for you. After I left the dining area a staff member did wipe down the table and chairs.I will definitely be back here each week that we work in the area.…
Traveling frequently I am always looking for a comfortable clean place to finish work and relax. Holiday Inn provides this in a rural IL area. A real plus is that they have a power strip in the room which helps charge all those work items. I hate lamp plugs. Very pleased.
Haved stayed here many times for company travel. Last night 4 of us were heading to the hot tub to relax. Problem. They nolonger have one. It was filled with cement!. So much for a nice soak. Would have been nice. A 3-1/2 hour the prior day, 8 hr. class, then dinner. Oh well. Other than the loss of the hot tub, still a great place to stay.
I will say this quickly and to the point very very very clean hotel eager to please front desk at check-in quick check out. Breakfast was great hot food was hot cold food was cold there was somebody there at all times if there was a problem for breakfast easy directions to get to lovely lobby to relax in pool was awesome even though I didn’t get to swim and looked very clean and perfectly clear blue water. However with one exception that for me could’ve been a perfect 10 out of 10, night shift at about 1030 at night there was a girl on I asked about an ice bucket where to locate it in the room and she said she really didn’t know and they weren’t allowed to go in the rooms I said well can you find out the information and she said well you can come to the front desk I thought that was quite rude five minutes later I found the ice Bucket and called her back and told her just in case the next guest calls you, you will know where it is in the room. I believe the management needs to make sure that the front desk goes in the rooms spend time in the rooms know where everything is from a Front Desk point of view not from housekeeping point of view and engineering should know the same so I don’t know whether to quite blame the desk clerk however her attitude was completely rude like she wanted off the phone and like she had no time for me but beyond that the person you really wanna interact with at that hotel is Sam Sam Sam Sam. I am from Wisconsin and travel to Pekin every couple of months to see my aunt I hope I don’t encounter the girl at night, however we will be only staying at Holiday Inn express and suites in Pekin Illinois.…
Stayed here briefly and was pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. Staff is very courteous especially Sam at the front desk. Breakfast was exceptional! Guest laundry on each floor. Seemed a but pricey for such a small town but I would stay here again.
We have stayed here several times over the past few years and the hotel has always provided a wonderful stay, including friendly staff, large, clean and comfortable rooms and bathrooms, and a well stocked breakfast area. Although the hotel is no longer "new", it has been extremely well maintained and still looks and feels like a brand new facility. Perhaps a bit more expensive than the competition in Pekin, but far superior to the other local hotels and worth paying a bit more
This was just a one night stay while we were in the area for leisure. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean with a comfortable breakfast. Coffee was good in the morning as were the omelets and the bacon was actually crispy! They also had some freshly baked cinnamon rolls that were delicious. Rest of the breakfast fare was rather standard
I requested early check in when I booked this hotel two weeks ago. I drive in 12 hours from Dallas and have to find something to do until my room is ready. I call 5 hours prior to check in (11 am)to ask if I would be able to get early check in. They said they would call when my room was ready. I called two hours later at 1:00 and the room was still not ready and would call when it was ready. Check in time of 3:00 passed so when we went to the hotel at 4:10 and was told our room was still not ready I told them that was unacceptable. She called housekeeping who said she was going in to clean the room right then. I told her I had requested early checkin the last two times we have stayed at this hotel and she had attitude with her reply. Miraculously three minutes after housekeeping was just going into my room, it was now ready! They price gouge people according to tournaments at the dome and I’m paying $175.00 for one night because of the tournament then turning around on Sunday night and paying 60 dollars less. I will not stay here again after the attitude. Oh yeah, instead of repairing the hot tub in the swim area, they simply took the cheap and easy way out and filled it in with concrete. Can’t wait until the new hotel is built down the road. I may go over to Morton to give them my money instead also.…
