We visited this lovely b&b last night and was very impressed with the standards. Patty and Harold are both so lovely, a very warm welcome from both. Breakfast was a full cooked English after cereals and toast!. Quality furniture throughout, would highly recommend if your looking for quality at a reasonable price.

6 of us stayed here for the first night of our walk of the West Mendip Way. We arrived soaking wet and covered in mud to a very warm welcome where we were given tea, cake and biscuits to warm us up. The accommodation was warm and comfortable and we were able to get everything dry for the next day....

Patty rents out two or three of the bedrooms in her five bedroomed house, so this is not a B&B as most would expect it. You don't need a key, as the front door is left unlocked & you come & go as you wish. There is no card payment - she prefers cash or cheque. She'll do breakfast whatever...

Out of the 10 nights we had cycling the whole country, this was the only disappointing stay. Firstly when we arrived after doing 95 miles at 4pm, there was no one in. I was left a message with number to ring. I was asked to let myself in the back door and find my room, not the welcome I was...

We stayed with Patty and her adorable Labrador companion Harry for 1 night and we could easily get around. Satnav takes you straight to the address but no sign on door so yes, it really is the correct destination when you get there although it is in actual fact a lovely luxurious normal looking residence and on the right corner...

A warm welcome, lovely house and bedroom and an excellent breakfast. It was our first visit to Harold's House but it felt like we were staying with a friend. Would go back if we are in the area again.

Our hostess has a beautiful house, a fine facility, and the food was excellent, but what put our visit "over the top" was the extraordinary attention the hostess paid to our purpose for the visit--family history. She went to great lengths to introduce us to knowledgeable people in the town. We even were invited to visit their homes! Needless to...

As promised you receive a warm welcome from Harold, the aging and arthritic labrador and from his owner. I was welcomed by tea and biscuits in her well kept garden and all seemed well as I looked forward to my luxury room. This is where I had to ask myself "What does the word Luxury mean for a B &...
