We visited as a party of eight based upon a recommendation. Large car park. Nice welcome upon entry. Excellent friendly staff. Lovely atmospheric interior. Friendly locals. We realised there was an offer on food up to 7.30 p.m. and we were in time!! Two meals for the price of one! When the food arrived the portions were large. The quality...

Wow what a gem of a place. Easy to find ( from Wrexham) Ambiance homely. Service exceptional. Food superb (Sunday carvery), cant wait to return. The food was hot, starter and dessert was waited at the table. We were called to carvery, this prevented long queues, Portion of meat was more than generous and perfectly cooked. Plenty of veg choice...

we often go for Sunday lunch as the food is beautiful and a good choice if you don't eat meat like myself. We always choose the bar as we like the atmosphere and the ambience. Our lovely lunch was rudely interrupted by a very large party who saturated the whole bar area and pretty much barricaded us in at our...

I attended a celebratory lunch with about 50 people and have to congratulate the staff and chefs. Friendly spot on service with great food. I was very impressed with the whole afternoon. Well done everybody. I will certainly visit again if I am in the area.

After reading many good reviews for here, my family and I decided to pay a visit for a evening meal. We booked a table for 3 plus we would need a high chair for our youngest. Upon arrival, they had no recollection of our reservation, but managed to seat us right at the back of the restaurant, with no high...

As we were going to a wedding down the road we decided to make a long weekend of it. Stayed at this lovely country pub. Made welcome right from the start and nothing was too much for the Ian or Nicky. Even arranged transport for us too and from the wedding venue. Had a meal the first night and be...

We had a meal here friday night, The food was excellent and the service prompt and efficient. Best steaks we have had for some time. The starters were enormous - almost a meal in themselves. Couldn't fault anything.
