We went past Charapoana Island when staying in area and asked local guide if charapoana was still operating, as we'd read about it when choosing where we would stay when in the western province. We were told us that the resort was no longer in business and there was no signs of any facilities or activities as we passed through...

It started with the amazing views on our flight to Seghe, the boat ride to Charapoana and our welcome to the island. The host family were very friendly and accommodating. After snorkeling just off the front of the lodge, we found 2 of him on the sand flat that descends from the beach front. This was the first taste of the snorkeling that we would find around the island. Everythign that we saw was spectacular, so you really didn't have to go far to find something amazing.
