Joe and Diane are stellar hosts who go out of their way to make a visit to their park extra special. We were just there for their "Stone Soup" weekend. Their park makes you feel like part of a friendly community. Everyone contributed ingredients to make the community shared soup. What was left, people were welcome to bring containers and...

Ive been coming here for over 15 yrs and it just keeps getting better. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Bathrooms are virtually spotless. We stay in the small cabins and they are perfect and always very clean. Our air conditioner was broke when we arrived but they went and got a new one and had it installed before...

Joe and his family run a very fun and wonderful campground. The amenities are always spotless, and there are always fun activities for the kids. Close enough to Galena, yet far enough at the same time. Never had a bad stay here!

This KOA is located half way between Rockford and Galena on rte. 20, about 1/2 hour drive from the attractions at Galena. Its also not far from Debuque Iowa. The campground is clean, manicured, has nice bathrooms, a well stocked camp store and a friendly staff. We arrived shortly after closing but the owner ( Joe ) reopened and checked us...

Lodge #1 was infested with mice, cobwebs everywhere, faucet water that smelled like sewage, dirt & debris all over the floor. Mgmt didn't seem concerned about it. By far the filthiest place I've seen.

We have stayed at the Lena KOA several times and it was always great. We had booked the teepee for a visit with our grandkids but due to schedules we had to cancel. When I called to cancel I was told that I had booked a 20' pull through, not the teepee. I was, in different words called a liar,...

We had a great time with one night of camping, service was excellent, pool was not too cold, and the band was loud enough that we could just hang at the campsite with the dog and listen. I would have liked a tree or two by the dog park, our black dog was very hot very quick in the August...

We stayed here weekend of July 18th. When we made our reservations, we wanted a cabin and a campsite next to each other. Allie worked with us to get a site and cabin next to each other (C10 & KTG4). The camper site is kinda in front of the cabin and it was a absolutely perfect setup for people camping...

This is an excellent campground. The facility is extremely clean, neat and safe. The management and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We had no trouble maneuvering our big rig and the site was more than sufficient size. There are tons of things for children to do. There were some gnats to contend with but it was the same way...

“if you stay in a Kabin they have the kitchen in the middle. WE absolutely loved it!! but dont stay in room 3 because they dont turn the lights off from the kitchen at night. Kinda lose the whole campfire ambiance with the kitchen lights on all night.”

“If you want to stay up passed 22:00 in Kabins on the northeast side of grounds DON'T DO IT. We were in the new Breckenridge kabin and sitting around the fire we're told it's quite time. by the full timers in space O12. So if you have kids that stay up passed 22:00 you will be told to go inside your kabin.”
