Stayed before an early-morning Amtrak trip. Temperature hit 5 degrees below zero that night, but the entire hotel and my room were comfortably warm. Room was typical of a Quality Inn. Everything was clean and worked properly. Plenty of hot water in the shower and sink. Hot breakfast was in operation and was good. Price was reasonable. This is my current go-to hotel in Galesburg if/when I need to travel from there.
We had a very pleasant experience with this stay. The room was clean and modern, the beds were comfortable, and the hot and fresh breakfast included a fairly complete number a selections. The hotel is very conveniently located off the highway and near the Sandburg Mall and several eating options. We had a very pleasant, though quick, stay.
Overall a very nice hotel. Convenient location near the Sandburg Mall. Rooms are very quiet but a bit dated. There have been a number of obvious updates recently so the room looks very neat and clean. The beds sag just a smidgen in the middle but are very comfortable. I got a really good sleep here. Breakfast bar is down due to Covid but there is coffee and hot water available in the lobby.
I'm alway hesitant and cautious when I have to book at this level of choice hotels. They always seem to need cosmetic repairs and upkeep. This one was no different. They aren't as attentive to the little details that add up to bigger concerns. The beds are fine and good for a sleep, but still always a little more on edge then the higher end choice hotels. Meanwhile, just earned more rewards!
Stayed for our son's college graduation from Western Illinois University which was about an hour away. Lots of other graduation families stayed there and shared good hotel experience over breakfast. Hot and cold breakfast served.
I stay in Quality Inn every week days during my work schedule. Rooms are nice and they have pretty decent breakfast. Customer service is excellent and I will continue to stay here throughout my work duration.
Had a wonderful stay here in Dec 2018. The new owner was very friendly and excitedly told us about all the improvements that were recently made to the hotel, and the proof is most definitely in the pudding! Last year, I remember our stay characterized by broken lights, poor heating control, and snobby service. At the time, I figured we were just getting what we paid for, but our most recent stay has turned that image around entirely: New light fixtures, clean room, (possibly new?) comfortable beds, upgraded electronics/appliances, (possibly new?) great fitness room, and very friendly service. I saw similar changes in our room as I saw in the hallway and common areas. The upgrades and new management proved to us we should have been getting a lot more for what we pay for! Looking forward to our next family trip here.…
I come to Galesburg to visit a friend when I'm able. I've stayed here before and it has since rebranded as Quality Inn. It's clean and quiet and very comfortable. Free breakfast is a big plus! Quick drive away from my friend's house and local stores. I will stay again next time I come to Galesburg!
Recently upgraded hotel. Totally redone! Formerly an Econolodge & now a Quality Inn. Staff was very pleasant & professional. Stay included a full hot buffet breakfast. Excellent choice for $85/tax included!
This Choice (brand) hotel is undergoing $$$ renovations. Inside and out. It is in a quiet location (my 1st requirement) its near restaurants (2nd) and its clean (3rd). Stayed here 2 nights on this trip and didn't have any problems. I've actually been staying at this hotel for the past 13 years sometimes as long as 2 weeks at a time. If you are a Choice member... badda boom!.
