Hotel did not look that full, however we were put in a room at the end of the hall RIGHT next to the interstate. Very loud. I understand if it is late and hotel is full, but felt like a punishment! Plenty of places nearby to get something to eat. Room and bathroom clean. Just recommend you ask which end of the building you are in.
The room I got was on ground floor. It was next to a small patch of farm. The dance of fireflies from the window was enchanting. Room was very clean. did not smell weird like most low cost rooms. I lost an item in the room and was promptly called after I checked out. They safely packed my items in a return envelope.
We did not like to have to go to the second floor through the end of the building. Parking was difficult. Key cards did not work well. Room was ok but nothing special. Sound came through the walls from loud patrons. Ok for a quick stop and sleep.
We have stayed here many times. No frills, limited breakfast. Rooms were clean. Front deak ataffed 24/7, and the staff is always friendly. You can now get beer and pizza onsite. It has a pool, but no hot tub. Usually not booked, so easy to get last minute reservations.
We just stayed here last weekend. The water was hot, so I gave it a 1. We were greeted by ants on the windowsill, moving 2 dead flies along. The carpeted trim along the floor was covered in so much hair, I could've knitted a pet cat. The toilet bowl was cracked & kept clogging. The sheets were pulled & unmatched & didn't fit the mattress. Oh! And they didn't get changed between our 2 night stay. The towels were like sandpaper, as was the toilet paper & tissue. Best part, because it was a homecoming weekend at Knox College , the price was almost tripled!!! Yep - 1 star!!!
We stayed here two times while our daughter was checking out nearby Knox College. The hotel was nice and clean with fresh paint and linens. My daughter loved how quiet it was and that it had the bonus of a McD's nearby! The staff was great and friendly and it felt very secure.
This was an acceptable hotel for a one night stay during a long interstate drive. The room was clean; bed was comfortable; basic amenities and typical breakfast fare. Indoor poor makes a nice addition. Very accommodating to our needs due to a medical emergency. Probably a little over priced, but budget friendly.
I came to Galesburg for a family reunion. Second time I have stayed here, 4 years apart. It is clean and peaceful. Staff is great. Roy the manger is great.Renee the head maid is very sweet, but I have to give extra points to Ethel, the night clerk. She handled some of my family drama with grace and compassion, I have to thank her for that. The room was clean, everything worked properly and it is a very peaceful hotel. It is on the edge of Galesburg so you are central to anything you want to do. I highly recommend this hotel and I will stray there again.
Stay there one night and came away with spider bites on both arms. They must have been in the bed as I had no itching when I went to bed but major rash and itching when I got up.it has been 5 days and slowly going away. Paid big bucks and got this problem
I don't smoke and have never tried it. This hotel charged me $150 because the cleaning person claimed to have smelled marijuana in the room. I contacted the hotel and the manager didn't have any evidence other than word of mouth from the cleaning person. Be prepared for an additional $150 dollar fee when staying at this hotel.
