Hello and thanks for your interest in Aldrich Guest House! As Betsy S says, it's a very easy walk to Main Street. It's about 5-7 minutes depending on how quickly you walk - it's a couple blocks through our historic neighborhood to Grant Park, then through the park and across the pedestrian bridge. It'll drop you right by the DeSoto House if you're familiar with Galena. Also, it's well lit so you don't have to worry about walking back at night in the dark! Hope to see you soon!

We're thrilled that you're considering giving your parents a stay at Aldrich Guest House! Unfortunately, all of our guest rooms are on the second floor up a single flight of 17 stairs. While we would love to be able to have them with us, if that is prohibitive, you may take a look at Cloran Mansion, Farmer's Guest House, Belle Aire Mansion, or Hawk Valley Retreat as they all either have first floor rooms or cottages that would only have a step or two.
We hope that your parents enjoy their visit to Galena regardless of where they stay and that we get to see you at some point in the future as well!

Hello! We had a great time with you both and we're thrilled that you're coming back for the fall colors!
Of course, there are many factors that go into the show that Mother Nature puts on for us every year in Galena from what the Summer is like, to when the first frost is, to how much rain there is in the fall. With all that being said, I think that, if past performance is an indicator, you'll be well rewarded with a visit in mid-October!
