We stayed in the Barn Owl building, on the grounds or Maunsel House Manor. Excellent accommodations for four adults with nice kitchen, breakfast room, bath was luxurious. We had an exquisite tour of the Manor and 14 bedrooms all kept in period decor, even down to copper bath tubes, canopy beds you name it , it was there. Staff were...

We held our wedding here and it couldn't have been better. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, they stayed in the background but were always there if needed. The venue itself is so interesting and quirky it kept all of the guests amused. Having the venue for the night made the whole occasion...

My Daughter and son in Law, chose this venue for their recent wedding. What a day, well organised, great food and what a venue. You will be amazed, guns all over the bar, that you can pick up and pose with if you like. A full size stuffed bear, called Bertie, a crocodile with a German helmet on his head, where...

Maunsell was the venue for my Daughters Wedding reception and is an exceptional place which I would highly recommend. Booking the whole venue for the night is great so that a large number of guests do not have to worry about getting home and can relax for much longer. The rooms are all quirky and comfortable. Downstairs we got the...

We recently attended a delightful wedding at Maunsel House, although we're not able to stay in any of the rooms in the house itself or adjacent accommodation. This is not a conventional hotel, more a function venue with accommodation for function guests. The house is an amazing place with hundreds if not thousands of items of antiques and bric a...

I refer to the host as well as the house! Sir Benjamin has such a stylish house full of eclectic antiques and a wonderful garden which was still in bloom in October, with peacocks and guinea fowl strutting around.. It is such a brilliant place for a wedding. I had a most memorable weekend there -there must have been at...

Just wanted to say what a fabulous weekend I've enjoyed at Maunsel House. The staff were exceptional and more importantly very discrete in their commitment to good service. The food and hospitality were outstanding and I very much look forward to my next visit.
