This is an excellent 43 room hotel in the budget Premier Inn Range situated on the Esplanade, Thorpe bay . The rooms are spacious and recently renovated and are well appointed. A Grab and Go breakfast is included in the tariff and comprises hot rolls filled with scrambled egg, bacon or sausages plus Costa Coffee and pastries (as much as...

Typical Premier Inn stay, comfortable beds and polite staff. Although there is a charge for the adjacent car park this is free for hotel guests, the car park is huge and also caters for the on site Toby restaurant which is just across the way. There is a free "Grab & Go" breakfast offer which is available to all the...

Excellent hotel in a great location and very friendly and efficient staff. Spotlessly clean room and the grab and go breakfast exceeded our expectations. We would definitely book this hotel for future visits to Southend.

I've stayed here twice before and the hotel is faultless. Everything that one may need for a stay away from home is provided here. The rooms are very clean, spacious and contemporary; the bed is comfortable. Good tea & coffee making facilities in the room, and staff are always happy to replenish your supplies when you run out. "Grab &...

The friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room and the hotel generally were excellent. The Grab and Go breakfast suited us for a one night visit for a funeral. We'll certainly visit again.

terrible service provided by two elder women, especially one called Justine. Never met that rude and unhappy to help person working with people. The way she was treating us really destroyed good impression about hotel.

Great place if you want to be near enough to the amusements and noise of Southend but not on top of it. Better end of the beach, right on the doorstep. Very clean refurbished rooms, free Grab & Go breakfast a great idea as no restaurant on site, though the lovely pub and restaurant is only next door. Had a...

Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, free parking and the bonus of a free Costa plus bacon roll when you get up in the morning - What more could you want ? Close enough to have a long stroll down to the pier (approx 2 miles) and near enough to the Ocean Beach Bistro Bar for a good evening meal....

There are two Premier Inns on the Eastern Esplanade, so when you book, make sure you know exactly which one you are due to stay in - each is within a few hundred metres of the other. This one is purpose built, has a large car park, and is next door to the Toby Carvery. The Premier Inn chain is...

We all really enjoyed our stay (Family 2+2). The facilities and atmosphere in the hotel were brilliant, not only in the room itself but in the reception/communal areas. We found all the staff very engaging and felt that they WANTED to do as much as they could to make our stay the best that it could be. I have capitalised...
