The Crawford House in is a perfect B&B, the owner who runs it has thought of everything. You will be very comfortable here. Beds are comfortable and the breakfast she prepares each morning is lovely. You can walk into town from this location. I highly recommend this B&B.

This place is quite a treat! I stayed here over December 2014 and it was just lovely. The decor and atmosphere of the place is impeccable. The amentities are everything you could think of. The innkeeper is an incredible lady and she cooks up a heck of a breakfast!

This was a stopover on our way back from vacation in Wisconsin. Charming town. Crawford House was outstanding. Beautiful King Room with Sleep Number Bed and private bath. Some of the rooms share baths. We had a lovely & leisurely breakfast. The property is beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. Our hostess was friendly and hospitable. We were there doing some...

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and loved it! The home itself is absolutely gorgeous and Lyn is an wonderful hostess. My husband had mentioned that he is gluten-free and so she had homemade banana-cranberry prepared as part of the scrumption breakfast we were served. So thoughtful! We will definitely go back again!

My husband and I were recently in Dixon for a wedding. After reading some unfavorable reviews of the other hotels in Dixon, I expanded my search and found the Crawford House. I am SO glad I did! For the same price (possibly less), we stayed in a beautiful Victorian home with an extremely comfortable feather bed and we got a...

I stayed at the absolutely beautiful Crawford House Inn in Dixon, IL. It was only by "happen chance" that I came across this lovely find. I needed a room for the night and all hotels were booked, so I "googled" bed-n-breakfast in or near Dixon and found the Crawford House Inn. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the owner...

The co-owner/host was a lovely woman who bent over backward to accomodate my gluten free needs. For breakfast I received my very own tray of baked goods (fabulous) that she made in addition to her other fresh baked goods of the morning. In addition, we also were served a different and interesting and tasty hot breakfast each day. Juices and...

My boyfriend and I chose this inn because it is within a half-hour of a dark-sky viewing site (Green River Conservation and Wildlife Area). We wanted to see the Perseid meteor showers. We explained this to the owner, and she had no problem with our coming and going in the middle of the night. We were disappointed with meteor viewing...

Crawford House Inn is located just off the main downtown area but it's in a very quiet neighborhood. It's decoration is thoughtful and matches the time period. On it's web site it lists that rooms must share a bathroom (not our style really) but it does have a new room, The Fall Room, which has it's own private bath, and...

Stayed here 2 nights. Parked at the curb right in front of the beautifully restored 1869 (?: some sources suggest 1850's) house. All 4 guest bedrooms are on the second floor and there is no lift, but 3 of us have orthopedic challenges and we all found the railings on the wide, straight stairway adequate for our needs. My 2...

“All the rooms here are lovely. I stayed on a weekend with no other guests so it was like I had the whole place to myself and was very quiet. It might be more noisy if you stay when there are other guests staying but I can't imagine noises being a huge issue.”
