So glad we did the food was great, pie amazing, lovely pasta, my little girl fancied the crap and prawn cocktail stater! And loved it, and the...

Visited with extended family for a Sunday lunch time before a walk in chatsworth grounds (note it's a drive away). Very friendly atmosphere good menu selection with meat from the chatsworth estate, ranging from pies, steak, salmon encroute to burgers and fish and chips. Specials board too. Prices around £13 for a burger and £15 for the salmon. Nicely presented...

Myself and the staff are pleased to see you enjoyed your Lunch with us. We try and use as much local produce as possible on our menus, and the farm shop burgers are a fine and tasty example of this. We look forward to seeing you and family again soon.

Since our last visit a couple of years or so ago this place has improved. The kitchen seem to have their act together and producing a better menu. Breakfast is definitely better. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is good for the walks around Chatsworth and Bakewell. Lathkill and the Monsal trail

After spending time in London we drove North to visit Chatsworth House. We chose the Devonshire Arms at Pilsley because of the proximity to Chatsworth. What a lucky find. Our room was spacious and quaint, forever views from our window of the rolling farmlands in the Peak District. The first floor Pub and restaurant was warm and welcoming with great...

What a lovely review, Thank-you so very much. We are indeed, as you stated a quintessentially English establishment that offers local Real Ales and local produce in a traditional concept. We hope to welcome you back soon so you can enjoy more of our hospitality and food.

Just stayed here for the weekend using it as a base for Chatsworth, Bakewell and walking in general. The location is excellent and the rooms are really nice, although the wifi and phone reception is not great ( but this is a place to get away from it all anyway). The breakfasts were mostly good, although they did run out...

The Devonshire arms is set in the heart of the village. Staying in the annex building with rooms that have a four poster bed are an added bonus. Lovely room with a large bathroom with a great view of the surrounding hills. The room was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with all the items that you could wish in...

Thank-you for your review. We are so pleased to see that you enjoyed your 'night away'. The homemade Mackerel Pate really is good as you suggested. We do pride ourselves on using local produce wherever possible including 'local additions' such as the oatcakes. We hope to see again in the near future

Called in for early tea after long dog walk. Dogs welcome in the bar although we left ours behind. We got there too early so the bar man recommended Chatsworth farm shop for a mooch. They start serving for evening meals at 5pm. Loved the decor. All gold stags heads. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We sat in...

Don't believe people who downgrade Groupon! We bagged ourselves a 4 poster bed & breakfast with evening meal via Groupon and were not disappointed. The room was so pretty with comfortable four poster. Nice roomy sofa to sit & watch the box if you so desire. Lots of lamps for cosy atmosphere and three windows so plenty of natural light....

This was an offer from Groupon and great value. We always choose somewhere to accommodate the dog and this is certainly a dog friendly venue.
