This hotel was definitely worth the price to get relatively close to Chicago. From other reviews, we expected a 30-40 min ride into the city, and while you could probably get to a stop on the Loop with a good driver within that time, to...More
Very typical airport Marriott -- good for a short stay before flight.
Pros: Bed was comfy, room was clean. Bath a tad small but recently refreshed. Super fast check in experience. Suprisingly quiet. Plenty of self parking. Nice supermarket 5 minutes away -- super close...More
Nice room, slow internet (unless you pay more, of course), parking is free for guests, and a valuable commodity in the area. The lobby is bustling with activity, adjacent to the bar and restaurant. Is immediately adjacent to the commuter train station (blue line), making...More

Thank you for your review. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon.
We stayed at this Marriott for the second time in six months because it makes flying out of ORD so much more convenient. We are platinum members and have been upgraded to a suite (separate living room with sofa bed and and dining room) as...More
For some reason, I could not find any available room near my office, so I ended up in this Marriott last month. On the arrival day (Sunday), I noticed that only one elevator was working. There are only 2 anyway, and from Monday, even though...More

Terminal 5 is the international terminal. My first arrival there was from St. Louis and so it was not the international terminal, it was basically walking outside after getting luggage and then crossing the road (jkwebb had it correctly, across from the Hilton). After our trip to Italy, we came back on an international flight, so it was a different part of the airport to terminal 5, not anywhere near our first flight. I had asked at the front desk at the Marriott where to go for our return flight pickup, and they said just to call them when we got thru customs with our luggage. It ended up being right outside the international terminal. I don't think those run as often as the domestic flights. So yes, as Bob F said above, have their phone number handy and they will be there to get you. It all was very smooth.
