First, I’ll state that I’m not a Karen and all my hotel reviews are 4s or 5s. But this was a poor experience. Checked in Saturday and noticed some elevators smelled like weed. Whatever. This should’ve been my tip off though. That evening from 1100- 330 AM we had a constant string of drunk people talking in our lobby (floor 21) as our room was near the elevator. It was continual. The next day the hotel rep gave me a credit, albeit begrudgingly. I had to plead my case that we didn’t sleep at all. He stated that I should’ve filed a noise complaint and then they could’ve addressed it. I stated, maybe, but this was not an isolated incident. This was a continual stream of people stumbling in off the streets from bars that the guards should have flagged, monitored on cameras and broken up their lobby parties once they started congregating. I’m not sure how I, as a guest, am responsible for making sure hotel operations run smoothly (quiet) for all guests. Less important was the next day’s breakfast. I understand that Covid has made things difficult. But, I’ve stayed in several hotels since Covid and none have served a cold breakfast like this was. The whipped cream was watery. It was sad. Overall I very disappointed.

I wanted to personally apologize for the problems you encountered during your stay. I have shared your feedback with our team to make sure this issue doesn't arise again. Unfortunately, due to Covid 19 our restrictions for buffets are different whereas CDC guidelines prohibit buffets. Again, I apologize and would hope that the next time you're in Chicago you would give us a chance to showcase the service our guest are accustomed to receiving.

Our room was well-equipped and the staff was very nice but there were some issues with this hotel: (1) servicing the rooms once one every 3 days due to Covid -- way to take advantage of the pandemic to do less (seriously very little risk from cleaning a room) (2) Grab and go breakfast due to Covid -- okay in theory but the breakfast items are gas-station quality. It is one thing to do grab and go, but you could at least care about quality; (3) stained couch cushions and crumbs in the pull out -- just eww; and (4) we stayed for three night -- for two of those the trash can in the ice room was full of putrid trash (I suspect dirty diapers) -- I had to hold my breath to go in there. They don't empty the hotel trash cans every day? Pretty sketchy for a Marriott property. Disappointed.

This is one of the better Residence Inn’s that I have stayed at. Our suite was very spacious and I really liked the layout of the room. There isn’t much to do in the immediate area at night, but it’s a GREAT home base for a trip to explore Chicago. Breakfast was delicious, which I always expect at Residence Inn’s. I liked that there is security downstairs so that people aren’t allowed to just randomly wander in. It’s not a far walk from the train. I would definitely book this hotel for my family’s next Chicago trip.

What a professional, clean and top-notch Marriott property! Our check-in by Taylor at the front desk was smooth and suggestions offered for area information was excellent. We had a great stay. During these difficult & challenging times it is great to know there are still properties like this available.

Attending a meeting in Chicago and was close to the location. Very quick check in. Parking is available but very expensive. The rooms are very nice and accommodating. Nice kitchen area and large bathroom. Beds were a little too soft for my taste but good. The prices in the bar seemed a little expensive. The breakfast in the morning was nice to start the day. Hotel is just a short walk to many nice places for an evening meal.
