We often stay at the Hampton Majestic when we spend a night downtown. It is centrally located for seeing a show or concert, has easy access to downtown restaurants and locations. The staff is always helpful and prompt to make a stay smooth. The breakfast buffet makes every day start easily.
We had a great stay here! The hotel is located in a beautiful older building, and they've done a great job allowing you to see parts of the old building while the hotel itself is current. Our room with two queens wasn't huge, but it was larger than some we've had inside a city. We slept well, but we were also quite tired from lots of walking around the beautiful city of Chicago! The hotel's location was perfect for our touring around Chicago - we were able to walk to Millenium Park, the river and riverwalk, and it would be super close to theaters when they're available again! It was also just a short walk to a transit station. The hotel's parking garage partner was also very close and we were able to get into our vehicle during our stay (we didn't drive anywhere during our stay). While we didn't venture out too late at night, we got back to our room by 10ish each night and felt safe the entire time (using basic good sense, of course). The free breakfast was full and had good variety, but it did get busy with other guests and it was challenging to find a table or try to figure out a way to carry everything back to our room, ha! The staff was very busy filling everything (despite having to clean up after inconsiderate guests... I'm looking at you, lady who spilled your orange juice and then just walked away from it!), though, so we enjoyed our breakfast. Overall, our time at this Hampton Inn was lovely and we would enjoy staying again!…
From start to finish an awesome experience. The person at the door greeted us, explained the check-in process and instructions on how the elevator worked. He also helped with bags without hesitation. Terry greeted at the desk. Gave my wife a little Birthday packaged and her customer service was excellent. Robyn was at the desk on the second day and she was just awesome. A smile, wanted to help and my wife and I were sitting in the lobby commenting on how well she receives people into the hotel as well as those checking out. The rooms were very comfortable and the house keeping crew were great. Every employee we came into contact with wanted to ensure our stay was the best it can be and it was. Above and beyond in every aspect. When we return to Chicago this will be the hotel where we stay. THANK YOU, everyone for the pleasant stay. It could not have been any better.…
Everything was nice. My son's dorm (SAIC Jones Hall) was just around the corner so the location was most important as we were moving his things. The room was clean with a nice view. The bed was super comfortable. I had several questions and call the front desk multiple times and they were courteous every time. Ismeta, the breakfast attendant was awesome. Fabulous customer service and sweet as pie like a mom away from home. I spilled my cup of coffee everywhere and it was no big deal to her. She made sure the breakfast options stayed full and went to each person in the dining area asking if they wanted anything else before she closed the buffet area. It's so hard to find quality customer service but Ismeta has it down pact. Either promote her or keep her but don't lose her. The valet guys were awesome as well. I'm sorry I didn't get their names. They were super helpful in spite of the snow and provide quick service in retrieving my vehicle. They were also very helpful in guiding me on areas to avoid traffic-wise, once we checked out to go home. My stay was great.…
Robyn at the front desk and Ismeta in the breakfast area were rock stars. Each of them went above and beyond to welcome travelers. Robyn assisted guests to check in and download the Hilton app to get the best deal. She was patient; kind and funny! Ismeta treated us like we were guests in her own home. She personally offered to make waffles for everyone and made sure all had gotten their food before she closed the area.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn because we had tickets for the play Chicago at the theater next door. It turned out to be a perfect trip. Everyone from the Doorman to the front desk personnel were amazing. The room was comfortable. Check in and check out was fine. Robyn was extremely busy at the front desk and handled it all amazingly and with a smile on her face. Ismeta was in charge of the breakfast room and was delightful. I've been at many chain hotels before and this place topped the charts for me. Thanks. We'll be back.
We had a wonderful stay to see Chicago. Ismeta made everyone feel so at home and went out of her way to make breakfast and the whole stay great! This was a great weekend getaway and the perfect way to enjoy the city and the musical! We will definitely return.
This is a beautiful hotel in downtown Chicago! The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Ismeta does the breakfast and she goes out of her way to make sure you’re happy and full. Perfect location to walk to the bean, the writers museum, the Chicago theatre, boat tours etc. and a quick walk from the train to the airport.
Such a friendly staff (especially the wonderful woman serving us breakfast) the room was cozy, my walk to work was brief (they are literally in the middle of it all!) And the gentlemen in the lobby were so welcoming and quick to help my dog and I with anything. If I ever come back to work on State Street I will be coming back to this hotel!
Walking distance to the Art Institute. Super friendly staff at breakfast. She was very kind and so sweet! Comfortable and updated rooms. Will definitely stay again. Also lots of restaurants within walking distance.
