The hotel is right on the river, one block from the magnificent mile and a few blocks from Millenium park. Valet parking is available for a hefty price, but hey, this IS Chicago. Check in was a breeze. The staff was efficient and friendly. The rooms are safe and clean. You need a key card to operate the elevators. Coffee...

We had a fabulous stay here for a quick weekend getaway in Chicago. The location is absolutely perfect. Right on the river and just a short walk to most sights including Magnificent Mile and Millennium Park. The rooms were much nicer than expected given the low price we paid. Our room had a view of the Chicago River as well...

On our arrival, the room smelled like cigarette smoke. They deodorized the room but it's not the most relaxing thing after a road trip to settle in to a smoky room. The view was awesome, but only one person could look out of the window at a time. With that being said, the restaurant downstairs was delicious, the room was...

We appreciated the modern, clean lines of the furnishings in the bed and bath rooms. Having filtered water available was a plus. The hotel is conveniently located in close proximity to a variety of entertainment and restaurants as well as reasonably and high-end shopping. We felt safe when walking near the hotel at night.

This hotel is in a great location. You are able to walk to pretty much anywhere you want to go in downtown Chicago. The room was small, but clean. There was free coffee, soda, and snacks on the 2nd floor which was nice. The employees were all friendly and we would stay again.

Very nice hotel in a great location overlooking the river. Very nice, albeit compact-sized rooms, which allow for good affordability in a prime location. Unless you plan on spending significant non-sleeping time in the room, the small size is not an issue. Convenient to Miracle Mile shopping.

Everything was to our satisfaction. Liked the coffee service area. Found that on Monday they displayed all kinds of snacks and drinks, the day we were leaving, but on Sunday afternoon when we arrived there was nothing there except the coffee. It would have been nice to have found some then too.

This hotel is located in the heart of Chicago. Can't do better in terms of a location. The rooms are small but comfortable. Note that there are no dining options on site. As being a guest in Chicago, you can afford the luxury of spending a couple of hours on the architectural tour through downtown Chicago. The first building they tell you about is the River hotel. Situated opposite the Trump tower, you get a feeling of the grandeur of the 1920’s, when the hotel was build. It must have had the...
