It was awesome to be within walking distance of so many of the tourist attractions. Breakfast was great and the morning view of enrolment walking to work on Madison in the freezing weather was refreshing. The only downfall was the water temperature in the shower, it would go from scalding hot to freezing and just need to be fixed. Overall, it is a place I will go back to again.
We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. There is always something to do and dine at some of the finest restaurants. To our surprise it was downtown dining week and that made the trip even better.
This hotel was clean, friendly staff, good location, nice rooms. I was able to receive my packages with no charge. Good internet, I will recommend this hotel for sure, a comfortable place with friendly people.
Overall this was a great stay! The room was a bit outdated but very clean and all of the staff was very friendly. It is super close to a L stop and the breakfast was a great plus. Our room was near the elevator and was quite loud throughout the night, next time I would ask to stay at the other end of the hallway.
This was one of the nicest La Quinta Inns I have stayed at. The hotel is super close to both train stations. The price was reasonable too. The rooms were very clean, great entrance and welcoming atmosphere.
Everyone was very kind and helpful. From front desk check in, to helping get us a taxicab, to holding our bags for us, our experience was made better by the staff. The continental breakfast was legit, too! We had a great time and would highly recommend for any travelers.
This hotel is amazing! The staff was so welcoming and hospitable. The checking was easy, the rooms were huge and well kept, and the morning breakfast was too-notch. The location is fantastic - you can see the L station from the hotel. We loved everything about this hotel. We will definitely return!
Will stay at the hotel again soon and will be looking forward to going back soon for our family visit to Chicago, in the summer hope to have good experience with our family and friends and our families
We were enjoying our stay, however it was ruined by endless amounts of noise by staff between the hours of 5AM-9AM. We hardly got any sleep. I would highly consider spending a few extra bucks for a better city hotel, so you’re able to get a restful night of sleep. Our room was never given a do not disturb sign to put out. We had someone show up at 8AM pounding on the door. We thought it was an emergency, but it was just housecleaning seeing if we had checked out yet. When I told them that we never got a DND sign to put out, the lady said, “This is a room check. We don’t use those.” Then she walked away. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything around you. I’d highly recommend looking somewhere else.
The hotel is certainly showing its age and evidence of neglect is everywhere. During a 4 night stay there was no maid service. Management informed us that they service rooms after 3 nights but they never cleaned or restocked ours. Would never have booked if I knew that there was no maid service. Ran out of towels, coffee, soap,... and nobody brought more. The "free" breakfast is another story. They were out of almost everything each morning and as a result lines were long. As if that wasn't bad enough, closing time meant that they were out of everything and the workers turned everyone in line away. Every interaction with them they were rude and difficult. Dining area and tables were always nasty. I am a platinum member of Wyndham and generally satisfied but would advise against staying at this hotel. …
