I searched for a hotel with free breakfast in Chicago downtown for Feb 13, 2021. La Quinta Inn is one of the few which is advertising on all major booking websites and on its Windham website that they offer free breakfast. I booked one room directly with Windham, and the reservation in the section Room Details specified "free breakfast". When we checked in, we were told upfront that they do not serve breakfast. Extremely disappointing, esp. these days, when almost everything is closed in the loop and beyond. To me, this is deceptive marketing. I will never book a room with them.
I have been trying to reach the hotel numbers in regards to a booking i have. Noone ever seems to answer the phones. Is there an emIl i can maybe reach them on? Since i land at 6 am in chicago im looking to request them for an early check in time. Is that maybe possible?
As noted in other reviews the parking is not available from Lq Quinta. They have a parking ramp on the same block but the cost is $50 for overnight parking. If you use ParkChirp or similar you can save half the cost. My room was not clean, which didn't give me a lot of confidence that it was sanitized. There was a shoelace on the carpet, hair on the wall of the shower, and the bathroom counter felt dirty. These seem like obvious things to fix. I only stayed one night but will definitely stay elsewhere next time.
I stayed here when the city was hit with a snow storm at rush hour my commute home home would have been two hours so i decided to stay in the city at LaQuinta and i was not disappointed i received great service from making my reservations on short notice down to help with getting a shower chair put in my room because of a medical condition my service was superb . Thank you
We spent 4 nights here. The "free hot breakfast" that is STILL advertised was one of the primary reasons for choosing this hotel. When I arrived I was told they hadn't had the breakfast in months. Why not change the website? I'm fine with no breakfast but don't promise it to me if it isn't available. That rant out of the way, the room was large, clean and comfortable and met our needs very well. I was very pleased with the hotel and the location. We came into Union Station on Amtrak and walked to the hotel. The bus and local trains are a short walk away. Our interactions with staff were few, but they were friendly and helpful if we asked a question. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the hotel, but know you may not get what you are promised.
