I should have known from the price what to expect, but there were so many good reviews. Anyone rating this hotel better than 2 stars are either people with extremely low expectations or country bumpkins out in the city for the first time. It is not possible to control your room temperature according to management. It's "an old building". So... More

Dear Eileen N I am so very sorry to read that you were not comfortable with the temperature of the room during your stay with us. I can understand that you may have felt the room was too warm but we felt for the general comfort of our guest that heating was the correct setting. Chicago weather is very volatile... More

This was a good quality modestly priced hotel. The room was a bit small but perfectly fine for my needs. The English styled pub in the hotel did OK food and very well kept beer. Overall a satisfactory experience

You get what you pay for here. The rooms are reminiscent of a hostel - small tv barely visible from the bed, one towel, low-grade sheets, and a tiled shower that was just like my middle school. My "king" bed was just two twins pushed together and the room did not have an ironing board or hair dryer . The... More

Pretty okay hotel. No free breakfast or parking . They cleaned the room well. Nice restaurant downstairs . Staff was polite and quick. Price wasn't too bad! I stayed for a few days. Overall it was nicer than some I have stayed at . The beds were comfy .

This hotel is nearly perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, the check-in was easy, the room was clean and compact, but well-designed. The location is wonderful: in the Loop but near both the L and Union Station. Starbucks on the first floor is a bonus!

The service in this hotel was five-star from the very beginning. Very clean, all the amenities you need, excellent location, and knowledgeable helpful staff. For downtown Chicago, their rates and parking availability were a great value. Looking forward to staying there again.

My boyfriend and I were taking a road trip to Las Vegas (starting in MI), and we planned to stop in Chicago for a night. I found this hotel online and after seeing the location as well as the price, I was sold. When we arrived, the valet personnel were extremely helpful. They gave us a map to where we... More

it is super good to have free parking and it is convenient to go to downtown from hotel. Green line is close to the hotel , only several blocks away. The side room will be a little noisy because of the train. Overall it is pretty good place for guests who drive to Chicago.

While the room was small, it was clean, modern, comfortable, and well situated. Service was attentive, cordial and polite. It was a very nice stay. The hotel room also was very affordable adding to the overall great experience.

The staff is friendly and most helpful. I like that this hotel has clean comfortable rooms, and a computer center is available if you need it. For the price, it's a great value and it is in a very safe area. It's also very handy to have a restaurant on site, as well as several good spots to eat that... More
