Perfect way to begin the Christmas shopping season! Quick walk to Macy's, Old Navy and Christkindl Market. The common areas reflect the beauty and excellence from a by-gone era. The rooms are decorated tastefully and exceptionally clean. The staff is helpful and delight to share in the hotel's history and significance to downtown. Will definitely stay again!

I stayed at the Palmer house hilton in Sept 2014. I was blown away by its grand entrance. The entrance was graced by sculptures of Romeo & Juliet. The mosaic ceiling was inlaid with paintings of Romeo & Juliet as well. The building was absolutely iconic. My room was spacious & the bed was super comfortable.I was not completely impressed...

This hotel is right in the middle of it all, and very comfortable. Everything was great, especially once we got the heat fixed! It was a good buy with the coupons that were available. The location is definitely wonderful.

The hotel was magnificent and the check in service was great. My only complaint was the checkout. I had a family emergency and had to leave a day early. I ran out of the hotel to the airport and called back in to check out. I tried for hours to get someone on the phone only to either get no...

My wife and I came down to the city for my birthday and to see a show, and stay at a nice hotel. The Palmer House was great, a real nice room, with everything we wanted, plus a luxury vintage style room, with the modern day needs. The only thing it lack was a view, but I have to say...

A beautiful old hotel with character. The lobby was beautifully set for Christmas; a lovely setting morning, noon and night. The room is needing an upgrade but perfectly suitable & comfortable for a short stay. Great location. Close to station for O'hare airport, shopping, theatre and good restaurants. Perfect for our need. Would stay here again- reasonably priced. Only downside-...

Made reservations a month in advance with notes put into their system stating "adjoining rooms overlooking State St" Arrive to hotel only to find that they don't offer adjoining rooms overlooking State St. Waited for over an hour and a half only to get rooms that STILL did not adjoin. Had to call front desk while in our room to...

Everything was great, from the time we entered the Hotel until we left, your staff were excellent, kind, friendly, and doing their job well. It was a wonderful stay, and we wished we could have stayed longer, but alas, it was back to work.

As a former employee and employee of the month at the Palmer House, I was disappointed with the room and certain services. 1.I waited for 20 minutes in the check-in line. 2.The room was very noisy and I was basically with the people in the next room as I could hear everything and I mean EVERYTHING. 3. I thought it...

Clean rooms, plenty of space, comfortable beds, and all the things we needed for a comfortable night sleep. The hotel employees went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We were in town to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade. The hotel opened their banquet rooms that faced State Street and allowed the guests to sit by...
