Me and my friends (4 adults) had a two-day kayaking tour in Linnansaari National Park with double kayaks. It was extraordinary! Our tour guide was super kind and professional, we were very safe with her the whole time, she did her best to make the most of the tour. We stayed on the Camping Linnansaari for one night, the bungalows were very clean and cozy, the Finnish sauna was awesome, the food was super tasty (traditional Finnish food made by our tour guide herself). We hiked on the Linnansaari island, and kayaked around the area, the nature was amazingly beautiful.
In short: It was a wonderful lifelong experience! Thank you for everything to the team, especially to our tour leader!

Worth to visit. Gasoline for your boat. Quite Nice restaurant aside even though a bit pricy, but on the other hand no other options. A small grocerystore included with basic stuff. The personnel are friendly.

The caravan area was just a parking area. General cleanliness was at a poor level, e.g. washing place and toilets and showers. The visit left a "money out" taste. The scenery and the water area are wonderful, but it's not enough to visit again.

This being the lake region in Finland, there are naturally many bugs in summer. Something as obvious as screens on the windows would have probably helped the situation here a lot. Our room had only one screen in the living room, which also had a big hole in the middle of it which let in all the bugs. Our bedroom had no screen at all and the first night we slept here with the window opened (it was very warm) and the next morning we woke with several nasty, itchy bug bites. The next night we kept the windows shut and it was hot, stuffy and unpleasant -- however, no bug bites. The facility is quite new -- probably built within the past 5 years - but I think they over-looked several key details, like having screens on all the windows. Also, the walls here are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING from every corner of the room, plus sounds from the neighbors on all sides - not much privacy. This facility is also built very close to the main road and even though there´s not a lot of traffic, it is loud whenever cars go by. The lake area is quite beautiful and if you like to kayak, there´s very good paddling. You can rent a decent fiberglass kayak from them for a reasonable rate for the entire day. Breakfast is not included and it can easily be skipped it as we went once and it was grim and totally forgettable. Better to buy what you want in the little market on the property or better yet, go to one of the nearby markets and stock up and prepare your food at home.

Thank you for the review because it will give us a chance to fix the problems. At the moment some rooms are still without mosquito nets but by the beginnig of next summer we will defenately have new mosquito nets in every room. Fortunately in winter time there are no mosquitoes.

Camped here the night before and the night after staying on the main island in Linnansaari. They have ferries three times a day to the main island. Tent fee includes use of the shared bathroom/shower facilities and a sauna at specific times of day (didn't get to use) Overall a good place to crash overnight in a tent though perhaps a little pricey? 20 euros?!

We booked a package that included the room, breakfast for two and kayaks/indian canoe rental. We visited in early June, during the off-peak season.
The establishment has many diverse businesses: restaurant/cafe, cottages, supermarket, petrol station, hotel/apartments, boat tours, boat taxis, equipment rental. All that an outdoors enthusiast traveller or someone stopping by for a day would need.
The staff were all warm and friendly, ready with suggestions and alternatives on what we could do in the area. They were also ready to connect travellers together to pool rides on the boat taxi for shared cost during the off season, a welcome gesture.
The room was of great value, and exceeded expectations for the price paid, with your own toilet/shower, a stove, fridge and a drying cabinet (this device was new to us and we were glad to have tried it; wonderful machine). There is a shared sauna on the premises (included with room), which you can book with the receptionist to ensure that you have privacy during that time slot, which we did. It was a great way to relax near the end of the day.
The guys at the supermarket let us sample some of the fish (which we liked and ended up buying). There was everything you needed meats, veges, olive oil, butter, etc.) to make a decent dinner indoors, which we did, in our room (it had pots and pans, plates and cutlery) :). Or at least one of us did. The other helped to eat it and wash the dishes in the sink in the room (it came with dishwashing detergent too).
Breakfast was non-buffet but had more than enough food for the both of us. Our table was laid out before the agreed time and when we arrived, the food was sent to our table. It included porridge (oats), orange juice, meats, cheese slices, tomatoes, cucumbers and yoghurt. They had asked about our dietary restrictions and food allergies the day before and adhered to or requests. Great move!
We thought it might be too much of a physical stretch if we were to kayak or row out to the islands (up to 5km away for the main island), hike around and kayak back. The package (or the staff, don't know which) was flexible enough to allow us to offset the price of a two-way boat taxi (which would otherwise have cost EUR 45 one-way), which we appreciated.
We only stayed a day, but enjoyed ourselves here. The place had free wi-fi and everything you need in the room or within walking distance to ensure a worry-less, comfortable, and homely stay.

Just came back home from Oravi cottage where my friends and me had celebrated New Year. We spent 3 nights in cottage #4 and are very delighted. The cottage is very clean and seems quite new. All the kitchenware was available, including coffee machine, teapot, toaster, plates and dishes. Sauna was not in the main house but opposite to it near the terrace. There was not inconvenient. Rooms have very poor insulation. We heard even a whisper from the next room. The fireplace was great! In general the cottage is very cozy and sweet :)

Each time, I cant help my self being surprised by the over whelming kindness, politeness and hospitality of Finnish people.
This was my first time using Oravi's services, though not the first time traveling in the area. We Rented 2 single kayaks for a week and stayed one night at their local hotel.
Once again, I had a pleasant experience right from the very beginning - booking and getting the kayaks was easy. They were very well maintained, everything was at time and the hotel room was cozy and nice.
We were paddling in Kolovesi national park. Needless to say Finland's outdoors and lakes are amazingly beautiful, the park is very clean and very well maintained.
If you like challenges, water, quietness and solitude and the great outdoors, this is the place!

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Oravi. This was perfect a place for us who does not want to stay in a noisy big Hotel. The place was indeed fabulous with very clean and spacious rooms. The food was also good. The nature was indeed something I liked the most here which made our staying worthwhile. The only drawback perhaps is that it is quite far away from the main city which makes the travel not quite easy perhaps. But people who wants to spend their freetime without the crowd, this fits in beautifully.
