Stayed on a Thursday night. Called ahead to check availability, they trust you'll arrive, simply took name and fone number.
Very nondescript post-war property surrounded by corn fields, no services nearby. Small office lobby is basic, just a reception counter and no more.
This motel in the corn fields near Carthage is inexpensive but clean and all you need for a quiet night's sleep. The two brothers who work there are friendly and helpful. The rooms have internet and cable TV, including HBO.

We usually ask for a handicap accessible room. They told us they were not accessible, but we decided try it anyway. It worked fine for us. My husband has trouble walking, and uses a transport chair or walker. The sink is separate from the bathroom....More
