Was tempted to give them 2 stars instead of 3 but trying to push through with SOME positivity despite my miserable night sleep. We stayed in the King Hot Tub Suite. When we reserved the room we were told they removed the sleeper sofa and replaced it with a queen size bed...not true. The miserable sleeper sofa was still in there. The photo on their website shows an additional couch in the Hot Tub room however there was only the one sleeper sofa. As a matter of fact, there weren't any chairs in the adjoining room either. So bizarre for a hotel to not have some sort of chair. It looked like there was supposed to be one at the desk, but NOPE. This made it challenging for the obvious lack of seating issues as well as the need to put our suitcase up on something (you guessed it, there also wasn't a collapsable luggage rack in the closet either). The icing on the cake was the really loud street noise. This room sits on the ground floor on a busy corner. The older door is far from sound proof (to the point where you can hear the conversations of people walking by late at night). The breakfast items weren't anything special but still it is nice that they offer something HOWEVER... I'm a tea drinker and they didn't have any tea options except green tea. The woman at the front desk said they were in t"he process of restocking their tea"...um there is a Super 1 right down the street, how difficult is it keep tea stocked? On a positive note, it did look like they were trying to repaint and update their rooms so that was nice on the inside. Quite contrary to the sketchy/shabby look on the outside of the building. We chose to stay there because it is walking distance from downtown. Next time I will stay at The Ruby Hotel and just drive to town. The Ruby Hotel is a MUCH quieter and cleaner hotel.

Stay was very comfortable. Room was clean and bed was soooo nice after a long day of travel. If you can, book a suite. They are by far the best rooms in town. I prefer to support independent hotels and this is by far one of my favorites. Choose here for those really great family memories. No place in town is better situated.

How do you spell noisy? This hotel sits directly on the corner of a very busy intersection, with a busy gas station and food Mart across the street. Loud trucks and cars accelerating and slowing down through the evening and beginning early the next morning. The walls are also fairly thin and the people above us were making a lot of noise throughout the night. Everything else in the hotel was OK, and were it not so noisy I would probably have given it three stars. But if you can’t sleep in a hotel, what good is it?

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I don't know if you were aware of that we have 3 buildings. The hotel take up one and a half block. We have some rooms that are located in a more quiet area of the hotel. We always try to accommodate special requests so I would recommend that next time as for a room in a quiet area.

Sonja was very sweet, I haven’t been here in over 10 years, and coming here from Kentucky was a culture change. Sandpoint has changed and she showed me different places in Sandpoint to walk. I would definitely stay here again! She did a great job! Best customer service ever! She definitely deserves a bonus! Thanks Sonja!

Booked reservation earlier this year when it was a La Quinta by Wyndham property. Never received notice that this property changed hands and became Cedar Street Hotel & Suites. Called with regard to reservation for later this month (Aug 2021) and advised my reservation WAS NOT on file. Advised my original reservation did not transfer over when La Quinta by Wyndham was taken over by Cedar Street Hotel. Sorry, no rooms available for my dates. WHAT??? Good thing I was calling to cancel reservation. Called Wyndham main reservation ## to research further. Was told "this happened to quite a few reservations." When I reschedule my vacation I won't book a room at the Cedar Street Hotel.

Looking forward to pleasant stay as rated 4 star. However, was very disappointed. No water for shower-broken , HVAC didn’t work properly-temp Control wouldn’t set, room in need of update. However, front desk personnel was very pleasant and helpful at check in.

The facilities themselves are average to above average due to location in downtown. Service was, at best, marginal. At check-in, front desk person made it seem like we were inconveniencing him, and he was quite rude. Once we got to our room, noticed there was only one towel. Asked front desk person (same one) for another...you would have thought I asked him to go to the store to buy more...again, I was an inconvenience, and the rude scale was significantly higher.

We only stayed for one night, but would definitely stay her if we were staying longer. The hotel was clean, good parking, (ours was covered close to our room and elevator) and the room was clean & comfortable. Check in was quick and friendly. They do have several rooms for those travelling with pets.

I don't know what has changed since this hotel received such a high rating, but I experienced this hotel to be an older, poorly maintained DUMP. The exterior was run down, the elevators, walk-ways and parking areas were dirty and had lots of debris, such as cigarettes butts, etc. Chipped, peeling paint was evident throughout. My guestroom was very dated and worn, especially the bathroom. Upon arrival I found large crumbs on the carpet in my room. The small coffee maker on the desk had one packet of decaf coffee which read "Best if used by November 2018." The rear sliding glass door in my room did not lock (broken). Poor, neglectful management is quite apparent. Bummer to experience this in a premium location of this charming town. *** The only bright spot was the upbeat and efficient front desk clerk, Will.***

Thank you for staying with us. I apologize for the state the hotel is in due to the painters scraping and painting the exterior of the hotel. I know it does not look appealing but we are looking forward to when it is all done. The exterior lights have all been replaced in the building where you stayed. With the walls being a brighter color it really brightens the hallways up. We will start renovation in the guest rooms as well. Thank you for bringing the expired coffee packet to my attention, we have checked all the coffee packets. The maintenance fixed the lock. There is also a security bar on all our sliding doors. Thank you for mentioning our desk clerk Will in your review. Again, I apologize that your stay was not to your liking due to the updates we are doing to the hotel.
