My husband and I stayed one night as we were visiting Sandpoint from Moscow, Idaho for the weekend. We just moved from the south (Atlanta) and were excited to see this Bed and Breakfast. We were not disappointed. Cal and Jill had also lived in the south and indeed know how to give southern hospitality. The rooms were really pretty... More

You can't beat the location or the value. Very close walk to the great restaurants and bars in Sandpoint. Cal is a great host and breakfast was great! The rooms are charming and have their own bathrooms. Close to the train tracks, but this didn't bother us. You can't avoid it if you want the location! We will stay here... More

We had the good pleasure of staying at Sweet Magnolia one night. It was very clean, very charming, warm, inviting, and comfortable. The owner, Cal, was a delight, and his cooking was exceptional. We would come again in a heartbeat!

We had a great 2 night stay at Sweet Magnolia. Our room was big, very clean and nicely decorated. Cal was a pleasure to chat with and he served a great breakfast with creative and tasty egg dishes, wonderful scones and fresh fruit and yogurt. We enjoyed our evenings on the porch with a glass of wine. The location is... More

We stayed overnight on our way from Seattle to Banff and really loved Sandpoint. The B&B is in a beautiful historic home. We chose a King sized suite, the room was very large with a private bath/shower and toilet. There were nooks all around the house to relax, read or have a cup of coffee- whatever you desired. Cal and... More

I stayed here for 16 nights over the past year when I came into town for a class. Each time I returned, I felt so welcomed, sinking into the comfort and familiarity of "home". Cal and Jill are so warm and genuine, and the breakfasts were amazing. Just a few blocks from restaurants & shops in downtown Sandpoint, too. I'm... More

We needed a place to stay for one night on our way to Seattle from Calgary & after a bit of searching on TripAdvisor we found this delightful b&b. Cal & Jill bring their wonderful southern charm to the B&B experience ~ from storytelling about the B&B's original owner to it's restoration 100 hundred years later to the amazing breakfast... More

I stayed for two nights, and I've never really stayed at B&Bs, so I didn't know what to expect. The house and gardens present great and are in fantastic shape. The decor of the house is so nice, the complete opposite of staying in a sterile hotel. It's about two blocks walk to get to downtown, so it's far enough... More

“If you go in the summer when it is hot and want to have your windows open at night for air I would recommend to get one of the rooms that does not face the street (4th Avenue). This would be the room with the King Bed. If you have your window open at night the neon light from the motel across the street shines in. If you were to close the window and drape it would not be an issue.”
