In medieval terms, romance was a term used to describe stories of adventure and mystery. Not to be over-dramatic, but from the moment one enters the forest of this stunning estate, there is a feeling of peace and beauty; a sense of wonder. This feeling only grows as you approach the home and walk about within. The rooms are comfortable...

This place is so lovely and it's only three minutes from town and just a quick bike ride up to fabulous single track mountain biking. The caretakers are so kind and accommodating. Literally all you hear from your room is water bubbling from waterfalls in the landscaping and an occasional chicken or duck. It was absolutely one of my favorite...

Hi Holly! Thank you so much; knowing you had such a great stay means a lot to us! We are so glad you took advantage of some of the great stuff there is to do around here, right in our backyard. I am glad that it worked out so well with your son's soccer game being at the park just...

My friend and I decided to take a road trip and had only 4 days so we chose Sandpoint, Idaho for our destination and Talus Rock Retreat for our accommodation. Our plan was to spend 2 nights there and then travel to Spokane so we could see and do a little more. Initially I was slightly disappointed that only the...

Our first trip to Sandpoint was only enhanced by the most enjoyable accommodations at Talus Rock Retreat. The surrounding natural beauty, the wonderful hosts, the great breakfasts, and of course the most friendly dogs. We will definitely stay with these folks again on our next trip to Sandpoint.

We stayed at the Talus Rock Retreat for just one night as we were driving through the state. The hosts were great and very welcoming! We wish we were able to stay longer as it is an awesome place. We roamed around the property and were awed by everything that is there for the visitors to see. The breakfast was...

Enjoyed the superb inn, the innkeepers were exceedingly friendly, the food was memorable and the bed...well I stole it and took it home. We at least I wanted to. Will be back. It is close enough to bike ride to downtown and enjoy the sights and food in Sandpoint, but far enough out (5 minutes) to be quiet and serene.

I had planned an impromptu getaway for our anniversary and could not have been more impressed with the hospitality and accommodations! From the moment we walked in we were at ease. The energy of the home is so welcoming and peaceful and that didn't change! We stayed in the Hideaway cabin and it was perfect for us! We loved having...

This is a beautiful place to stay. The house is gorgeous and the breakfast was great. I wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the Grand Arbor room, it was as outstanding as it looked in the pictures.

Talus Rock is one of the most unique, and warm environments I've ever stayed in. I don't know why I feel so at home when my home looks nothing like the B&B mansion. The innkeepers Alex and Brian are warm and friendly, owner Heather is wonderful, Mayumi is sweet and it just has a good vibe! If you like hotel...

We were looking for a place where we could have an intimate elopement and Talus Rock exceeded our expectations. When planning the ceremony, they were easy to work with and open to all of our ideas. When we got there, the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The ceremony was wonderful and grounds and view were spectacular. The breakfasts were...
