Fun visit to Bonner's Ferry for an extended weekend. We used the Northside School as our home base during the Idaho adventures. Good food and unique accommodations. Ruth and her husband are very attentive hosts. Mini fridges are located at common locations through the halls. Each room has a private bathroom and unique decor. Gardens are lovely! Breakfast is fantastic...

This is an absolutely wonderful traveling experience. We had no idea we would happen onto the most delightful place to spend the night. This is a B&B which is a renovated schoolhouse. The accommodations are charming, the owner is friendly, accommodating and interesting to talk to. She has first-hand knowledge of the history of the school. The breakfast in the...

I've stayed there several times due to business in the area. The rooms are comfortable and fun. They each have their own personalities. Some are quirkier than others but always comfortable and charming. The pool area is relaxing. I've napped easily on the lounge chairs overlooking the lake/river. There is also an elevated deck perfect for take out dinner. Our...

Perched on the hill across the river from Bonners Ferry, Id., this fantastically renovated old school house overlooks the town and the river. Ruth and her husband have done an expert job on updating the interior while maintaining the old school house look. The rooms are spacious and very clean. In the evening you should sit out on the deck...

This converted 1912 historic school building in Northern Idaho is a truly unique hidden gem. The school-centric details are adorable, and the grounds covered in gardens make the setting such a lovely place to enjoy. We stayed in a King room (Romance Suite). The room was large with big windows overlooking the gardens and the bed was very comfortable. The...

We started our Montana camping trip by staying here in Bonner Ferry, Idaho for two nights. This was a great way to ease into our vacation. Most of the other guests checked in, enjoyed the room and left. We enjoyed the room, laid out by the pool, went to the farmers market in town, and explored. We really liked laying...

This re-purposed, historic building was well balanced. Our room-the principals office-was beautifully furnished with period pieces,as well as a modern, high function ensuite. The room was spacious with huge windows overlooking well tended grounds. The grounds included a heated pool and hot tub. Numerous hummingbird feeders, meant wonder bird watching at dusk on one of several deck\gazebo sitting areas. The...

This B&B is a remodeled early 1900's schoolhouse. The owner said her first grade room is now the dining room. Rooms are good sized and each has a different theme. We were in the French Country room with a queen bed. Loved the breakfast and the huckleberry stuffed french toast and sausage and cheese souffle. Bought some fresh-made huckleberry jam...

We just spent 5 days at this beautifully restored 1912 school house. The owners have gone out of their way to keep it charming. Unexpected touches like a bathroom in each of the rooms, a heated swimming pool AND a hot tub. In addition there are beautiful gardens, an old merry go round and excellent breakfasts every morning. There are...
