Stayed at the River Lodge chalet which was huge with 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room and 2 massive bathrooms and showers. All very well maintained and comfortable. We loved it here. restaurant offers good choice and we are vegan and had no problems. There is a nice pool although it was full of teens. We didn't use the hot...

Poring is a lovely resort and the jungle lodge is exceptional... Mr Minn and his restaurant staff are so helpful. We had a lovely outside bathroom in the jungle lodge, it's actually a little private cottage with great space and comfortable furnishings. The springs are a little dated but it's well worth a walk to the waterfall and Canopy walkway

The resort is really nice. Like US Resorts with bungalow. Very clean, comfortable, spacious. Staff are extremely friendly. Wouldn't go in the restaurant inside the springs. Just go across the street. The butterfly park is really awesome. As so the Canopy walk.

Beautiful accommodation looked like a show home with plenty of room for six. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, lovely food. It's great to have access to the pools in the evening after the day visitors have left 18h30-21h00 (make sure you leave enough time to fill the bath it can take hours. Couldn't fault it.

We have booked the Premiere Palm Villa for 2 nights and for the price we got it, it's definitely a bargain! The perfect getaway for family with Kids. A lot of fun activities where you can enjoy with your kids. Staying at the reserve doesn't give you complimentary entrance into the hot springs area but the entrance fee is very...

We came here the day after climbing the Mountain, after the long day we were hot and tired, the drive took around an hour, when we got here we were not sure if we were in the right place, so we drove through into the hot springs reception and found the reception. The staff were really polite and helpful here,...

A worthwhile visit where you get to enjoy a lot of things. My fave was waterfalls with "fish spa" where dead skin cells are eaten away. It didn't hurt but was tickled! For the more adventurous, canopy walk is a must! There are four walks which you need to gorder through but it certainly was quite thrilling! Of course, not...

We stayed at Sutera Sanctuary Lodge in Poring as part of a package tour with Downbelow. The service at the hotel was terrific – the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Ronnal in particular greeted us upon check-in, helped us upgrade our room and get entrance into the park, and he even drove us down the...

Pros: Its a wonderful villa with a great view. We stayed in a three bedded villa with friends & family. Had a great time. Nicely renovated and nice deco. Its very quiet and secluded. Cons: It took 4 hours from the airport to reach this place. And one hour from Kinabalu reserve. We drove to Kinabalu reserve for a walk...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Poring Hot Springs, Sabah's most famous hot water spring, is located amongst the foot hills of Mt. Kinabalu near Ranau, with accommodation ad restaurants managed by Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. The hot spring located about 3 hours from Kota Kinabalu, is managed by Sabah Parks whilst Sutera Sanctuary Lodges manages the various accommodation and dining facilities. The nature reserve and humid lowlands offer botanical attractions such as orchids, rare butterflies and the world's largest bloom, the Rafflesia. The curative waters of this popular local hot spring rejuvenates aching muscles after the challenging climb to Mount Kinabalu. The excellent collection of tropical plants includes more than 500 orchid species. Located on the Park's boundary at the edge of the Mamut River, Poring Hot Springs & Nature Reserve offers a butterfly centre, an orchid conservation centre, a five acre tropical garden with an animal rehabilitation farm, picnic areas, hot pools and the most famous canopy walkway overlooking the forests. Poring's hot pool is located in a clearing in the forest, one must cross a short suspension bridge over the Mamut River. From there the path leads past some old trees and a grove of Gigantochloa Levis, giant bamboo species from which Poring got its name. Water temperature in the 5 hot springs ranges between 49 to 60 degrees celcius. Visitors can enjoy a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or soak in sulphurous water channelled from the hot springs into tiled pools and tubs. ... more   less
