We wanted a birthday, golf overnite. Brasstown was perfect. The course was beautiful, the room was beautiful with a lovely view, the staff & food was excellent & the atmosphere was rustic mountain. It was very clean & welcoming..would definitely return..
We stopped for one night here while on three day trip from western NC. We had a very pleasant welcome and a very good dinner and breakfast in their beautiful dinning room. The views are stunning and the arrival to the hotel from the Highway reminds me a lot of the approach to the Biltmore. The only downside is that the guest rooms could really use an update. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable but definitely showed it’s age. Also, the ice maker had no ice even earlier in the day.
Quite disappointed, to be honest. The rooms looked nothing like they did on the website. The front desk staff was in complete disarray and cursing at each other. When we finally got to our room, the air conditioning did not work. Even though I called several times, no one even answered. The worst part was that they charged me at check in and again after my wife and I left. Completely disgusted!
Nice stay with clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff who were eager to please. COVID precautions could be improved. No mask anywhere except for one server. No mask in elevators. One guest was coughing over the food at desert table as staff simply watched. Will not go back until COVID is completely gone.
What a wonderful, friendly place to visit. The staff was all smiles all the time. The atmosphere was so warm and cozy with all the amenities you could ask for. The well maintained golf course is challenging, yet not punishing. Very woman friendly...no hugh carries to worry about. Just fun golf! Can not wait to come back.
We recently spent our anniversary weekend at the resort. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience! From the moment we booked the weekend to the moment we checked out, all of the staff was wonderful! We were upgraded to stay in one of the cottages, as our adult son came over from TN to meet us. The cottage was beautiful. Only negative were a few broken tiles in the bathroom. My husband and son played 2 rounds of golf and enjoyed the course, and some games of pool afterwards! Every interaction with staff was positive. I ran into the girl who checked us in who remembered us and made sure we had everything we needed. The grounds were well maintained. Gorgeous views! In this present day, it was certainly nice to feel welcomed. I can't wait to go back!
We've stayed here many times. Everything is always exceptional including the rooms, service, and dining! This place is truly a getaway. Perfect place for an anniversary or weekend trip. I don't always take the time to leave a review, but upon glancing at the reviews here I saw one from "Brooke G" that was shocking. And to be honest, I don't believe it. There had to be more to that story than was told, especially considering it was in a bar with folks drinking. You can't always jump to conclusions just because things don't go your way, or maybe when you've had too much to drink. Listen to the 99% of other reviews here and know, this place is top notch and hard to beat! I'll be back again and again for sure.
Our first time to Brasstown Resort and we will hopefully be back many times. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. I can't say enough about all the staff members who were so friendly and accommodating in every area from the front desk to the bar to restaurants and spa. It was our anniversary weekend, and the servers in the Dining room were so nice in helping us celebrate.
The employees were all pleasant. The buildings were all clean and well maintainer. There is a woodsy feel to the place which I liked. The grounds surrounding the resort were all beautiful with a golf course for those who golf. The swimming pool was heated and had 2 hot tubs, one in one out. The pool was also inside and out. It was on the small side but a nice pool with surrounding deck chairs in a scenic area. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was outstanding. The room was not remarkable in any way but it did the job keeping us comfortable. The restaurant had very good food and service. The downstairs grill had very good food too. There are a lot of comfortable chairs in the main lodge with a gigantic fireplace made of stones that is beautiful. Outside the main area are rocking chairs and sitting chairs with views of the spectacular mountains and scenery nearby. I would definitely consider returning here for another stay. We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time. We rented a boat on nearby lake Chatuge and had a great time. We also went to Brasstown Bald mountain top which is about a 25 min drive from there. If I had to make any complaints they would be there is not restaurants nearby. Also if you are allergic to poison ivy, I saw it all over the grounds and they would do well to try to get rid of it.…
It’s my first time in Georgia. And it’s such a beautiful place with AMAZING staff. Brian-driver,he is very intelligent and polite man, David at the bar can easily communicate with everyone and Malbec was delicious, big thanks to blond lady who cleaned my room 508, she gave me everything I asked for. I want to THANK the front desk lady( sorry forgot her name) who spent 20 min on a phone with me to guide me where to go in the middle of the night, to find a front desk. Next day I realised to find a correct address, just type a dining room at Brasstownvalley and then GPS will take you exactly to the Front desk. Horses are wonderful, EBay was such a good boy. Archery class it’s a lot of fun. Such a beautiful area to walk in the evening. Or just to sit and watch sunset on the terrace. I got a package where breakfast was included, it was simple, but delicious. Everyone at the restaurant was helpful and kind. They also provide everyday coffee and water in the room, as many as I need for free. If I could I will go to this place 3-4 times a year, just to relax, but next time I’ll get a room with a balcony. My room was facing a parking lot, but you don’t hear any noise, just lovely birds. They have very convenient and free parking lot. Everyone is running to help or to open a door. I travel few times a year, to different states, but I’ve never seen such a GREAT service. Gym was super clean. Pool area is very cozy under the trees. Rooms can be a little bit prettier and I wish they respond on time to emails. But even all these little limitations are nothing compared to the experience I’ve had at Brasstownvalley resort. If I forgot someone’s name, I am sorry, but all of you guys are amazing. And of course drive to have a lunch to “Paris and company” what a nice restaurant with a gorgeous view. ♥️…
