Thomasville's downtown area is attracting lots of visitors with the shopping, dining and history. The best thing to do is to stay downtown and walk everywhere. Unfortunately, there are only a few places to choose from. One great one is the Paxton House. They have great accommodations, food and staff. You will definitely enjoy if you like the B&B style....

Paxton has a wonderful hostess who does a great job of making guests comfortable. The house is in wonderful condition - preserved well but well-done modifications/additions (kitchen, dining porch). We were in one of the separate rooms: Hascall 2 and found it to be very nice. Relatively new, upgraded, nice furnishings. Keurig coffee maker in room. Full bar is always...

This is a beautiful, spotless B & B. WE came for a wedding. We were in the Grand Suite, huge room on ground floor. Very nice helpful hostess. Breakfast great and nicely presented. Bathroom is small but a very old house. Nice sheets, pillows and towels very clean and quiet.

Carol did an outstanding job to make sure all her guests were accommodated with friendly cheerful services. The facility was extremely clean, well decorated and the breakfast was the best and made from scratch. It is within walking distance to the downtown shops and restaurants. Definitely on our return list.

Haven't been back to the Paxton House in several years. In fact, it has changed ownership in the past few years. What an improvement!!! Carol (the owner) was extremely hospitable. There have been many upgrades to the property, including decor and amenities. We stayed in one of the cottages which were not only beautifully decorated, but very clean. From the...

We have a lot of friends from Tallahassee who come and stay...

I was lucky enough to stay at The Paxton during my recent visit to Thomasville, GA and it is truly one-of-a-kind. While the house is stunningly beautiful, it's so much more than a place to stay. The owners deep ties to the community are felt throughout and there is an instant feeling of home when you walk through the doors....

We loved our stay at the Paxton House. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable. They provide beverages for guests at all hours and also gave treats and snacks. Our room was very cozy as well. It is centrally located within walking distance of the historic district and surrounded by other beautiful homes. Breakfast was great as well!
