I found this delightful pub on route to meet friends in Llanaramon. Cheerful friendly atmosphere. Had a pleasant meal that was "rustled up " for me due to the late hour, after which I was invited to join the managers family and guests for a lively conversation.

Cathy is the kind of hostess you would like to have as a friend, she couldn't have been more helpful and is humourous to boot! She collected us from, and ran us back to, the Offa's Dyke Path, helped us arrange an evening meal (her cook was on jury service), and launched me into the outdoor hot tub - very...

I came here to visit family. I was welcomed by everyone when I arrived. I returned the next evening and tried the food in the restaurant, Elle's Kitchen, and I can honestly say I've never had a vegetable lasagne as nice as I did here. The chips which accompanied it were home made and the whole meal was hot. The...

Cathy and Ian were extremely welcoming to us and our dog. It was very convenient to be able to pop downstairs to the friendly pub and then to have a hot meal after our walk on Offa's Dyke. Cathy was very accommodating with our rather boisterous dog and even gave him treats. Cathy and Ian kindly gave us lifts to...

Lovely weekend stay at the Swan Inn. This is our third visit. Cathy and Ian are friendly hosts and the pub is ideally situated for exploring the beauty of the local area. Then returning back for a great meal in Elle's kitchen and a drink with the friendly locals in the quaint bar, and we were pleasantly surprised with the...

The pub looked lovely on arrival and advertised home cooked food. The locals were very chatty and friendly and we received a warm welcome. We ordered our meal which was roast beef. Mine wasn't warm enough and wasn't home cooked either. I was still hungry after finishing so ordered sticky toffee pudding. It was so hot it burnt my mouth...

Found this lovely place by chance on our way home from a caching event in Llangollen and called in for a drink and a meal. There was a friendly welcome from the staff and the locals and some advice given about the real ales on offer. Meals were ordered and we went through to the restaurant when they were ready,the...

I have never been in such a welcoming and friendly place. Everybody spoke to us when we went in. We didn't have to wait long for our meal, it was good home cooked food, very hot and a good price. Perfect night out which included a mile walk both ways to our accommodation.

Stayed at the Swan 18-19 April whilst walking the Offas Dyke Trail. We couldn't have had a better host than Cathy who looked after us throughout our stay and couldn't do enough! All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and if the area again would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much!
