Booked for a family meal following many recent recommendations. Having been disappointed in the past either by wait times or food we were MASSIVELY overwhelmed by everything this time. Excellent service on arrival, great table, expected wait time for well-cooked food, great selection of beers and wines and a menu which I could happily return to several times. I had...

The Swan is pretty much our pub of choice. Great when the weather is warm as the beer garden is very welcoming and just as good in cooler weather with a great open fire. We have eaten there twice over the past couple of weeks and the food is always excellent. Yesterday (Easter Sunday) for the first time my husband...

Always wanted to stay here. We consider it our local. Although my husband couldn't make it, I took our son for the first night, my husband would have come on the second night. The main room was clean but The bathroom floor was filthy, the mirror covered in dust. We were not shown to our room and told we had...

Warm welcome despite latish arrival, friendly staff, peaceful location, good Leaning Tower beer, good food with a wide choice and characterful surroundings. Bedroom 5 nicely decorated and furnished. Convenient parking next to room. Breakfast (full or continental) is an optional extra.

Booked via Hotels.com. Pros: Clean and quiet room with a nice view (No 7). Parking outside room. Nice pub with good menu. Cons: Not very welcoming on arrival. Breakfast isn't available until 8.30 a.m. WiFI doesn't work in rooms. Tiny bath towels. Will try elsewhere next time I am in the area.

Thank you for your review and the positive feedback. I must admit we were a little surprised at your comments regarding your welcoming as this is not our normal feedback but we will take it on board. Our breakfasts do start at 8:00 am in the week and not really sure what to say on the bath towel only that...

We have eaten here a few times and it's always been good. Really impressed last night. One in our party is vegan and the chef made a real effort to ensure she had a really tasty vegan meal. We all enjoyed our chosen meals.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Swan is a traditional country inn, in a delightful setting, offering great Cask and Craft beers, a wide selection of spirits & a wine menu that covers all tastes. All our food is locally sourced and prepared fresh, by our team of chefs headed up by Luke Anderson, winner of Big Brother 2012. Our seven unique bedrooms are contained in a separate block at the rear of the pub and have recently undergone refurbishment including new paint, carpet, curtains, beds, mattresses, pillows and bedding. The Swan at Wybunbury is at the centre of many local walks and adjacent to the famous 15th-century Leaning Tower and Wybunbury Moss nature reserve. Within a few miles of the Inn lies Bridgemere Garden Centre, one of Europe's largest and Dagfields, the North West's largest Craft and Antique Centre. With over 250 dealers established in seven emporiums covering over 50,000 sq ft you will be sure to find something of interest at Dagfields. Make sure that you pay a visit to the book store if you can. Please ask if you require additional information on the local amenities. Our team will be delighted to help you in any way that they can. ... more   less
