We were super excited to visit Fort McAllister. We stayed in my mother-in-law's RV and some of us pitched tents outside. The little biting Gnats were horrendous!! We weren't prepared for the swarms! They were coming in clouds so thick we could see them coming....More

The staff is very nice and helpful, however, unfortunately a storm and/or pine beetles have devastated much of the forestation. I found the restrooms and bath house to be spotless and we did enjoy our stay. Senior discount was extremely helpful for us, though.

We stayed there in a cottage for Spring Break last week. It was beautiful! The park was spacious and had many trails to bike and hike. The cottage itself was beautifully remodeled and very clean! The fort was very interesting and our kids loved learning...More

Gnats and mosquitos are always a problem in the summer in the South. We use the backyard bug spray and it keeps them out of your camp site.

No. It's an outdoor park. Turn your phone off and enjoy being outside in nature.
