Travellers' Choice
Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant celebrates its 98th birthday in 2020. It's the last surviving mountain lodge on a lake in Georgia. Because it has stayed true to the look and the feeling of another, perhaps more peaceful, time, it's been called both a regional and a national treasure. For decades generations have enjoyed the beauty of the lake and mountains. Carefully restored by preservationists in 2008 to maintain its ancestral charm, it features gardens of native plants, rock pillars and walkways, locust log decks, and balconies with views of old growth oaks, pines, and hemlocks. Lake Rabun is one of the most beautiful lakes in the mountains of North Georgia.

Our second time at this hotel. The first time was 30 years ago. Hotel is well maintained with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Location is good for local mountain site visits. Probably the best part of hotel is evening hours in the bar and restaurant. Bar manager Cody Wood is a total professional. He really makes the place work. We had 3 dinner meals . Food is good, average overall. Highly recommend a visit.

They provide excellent service and amenities. The owners and employees deliver a complete experience. They have thought of everything. Pros Sleep - Very quiet and comfortable beds with complete control of HVAC Gas Grill Gas Fireplace to heat up the cabin quickly Good Wifi and Internet Fully stocked kitchen. The grounds are well maintained. The parking is more than adequate. The decor is perfect. Deck overlooking the woods. Very Clean Front desk quick to answer the phone with clear and concise answers to all your questions. Contactless checkin and check out. Very Well Done Cons No blinds on the upstairs bedroom can create some privacy concerns when changing clothes. Breakfast in the restaurant is not an option for the cabins. It is clearly stated in the cabin description. Bring all your food and you wont have to dine anywhere for any meal. It was a perfect stay. The finest cabin that I have ever rented.

Cozy hotel at the lake Rabun, close to many trails and falls. Quaint and artistic rooms, they could however be a lot smaller than they may seem in the pictures online. The website description could be a little confusing, so its best to call and confirm before you book your preferred rooms. The hotel has a notable restaurant, which is the best part of this property. The service is awesome and a special mention to the chef whose delectable drinks and dishes was the favorite part of our stay.

I stumbled across this Gem online this past week. I am new to Taccoa and have been searching for our little spot. And we found it... Everything was great. When we arrived we were seated and Cody was our server. Everyone was very pleasant and easy to talk too. Our Brunch was delicious and we will be back very soon for dinner. I just love this place... seems a place to grow and build many memories.

Our third visit to this gem of a quiet hideaway. Love the staff and the food was to die for. Do recommend calling ahead to book the nights their dinning room is open for dinner. Love no In room TV or phone! Don’t change anything B F
