Nobody could ask for better people that work for this campground. I would stay here again just because it is on Jekyll Island. However, it advertises that there is Wi-Fi (nope, couldn't get it to work) and cable (nope, again.) Really didn't need those that much as the island has much to offer. The spaces for RV's are extremely tight and... More

We stayed one night here on Thanksgiving day/night. We rented the primitive tent site I7. Based on our experience, the staff was great. The Camp Host (Mr. C) couldn't have been nicer - helped us with check in, firewood and some tape when one of our tent poles snapped. The site itself was a nice size; a little oddly laid... More

There is a very nice shade canopy throughout the campground. Great hiking and bike trails nearby. 3 ½ golf courses nearby. Wifi, laundry, and camp store. It's quiet. The bad is it's gets dusty, lots of mosquitoes, and it's stays full. Sometimes you need to call way ahead for a reservation. I'll definitely be back.

My family and I stayed at the primitive sites with some friends. We had a great time. The staff was super friendly and polite. Watch out for raccoons at night, they are everywhere and will steal whatever food they can. That's part of camping though, just be prepared.

Jekyll has been a vacation favorite of mine since 1982. The Campground on Jekyll is also at the top of my list of destinations. Wonderfully canopied, well laid out and full of convenient amenities the Campground is just a few steps from spectacular evening sunsets and a short walk or ride from the Atlantic sunrise. The Campground reflects the laid... More

We enjoyed our 1st day at the State Park campground until one of the workers insisted we were not allowed to drive our Florida licensed Low Speed side by side Utility Terrain Vehicle in the campground or Jekyll Island. I explained it is a Florida licensed (complete with Florida vehicle License Plate), titled and insured street vehicle and as such,... More

We could not in the RV park itself for more than a moment to run to your car because of mosquitoes . Jekyll Island was lovely very nice place to stay , the grounds in itself was nice , staff was amazing , bathrooms need a serious remodel.

This is our second stay here. Great location on the island but very buggy. We might look at Brunswick next time. Full hookups with cable are nice and price is very reasonable. Close to a lot of the attractions and St Simons.

We had to make reservation way in advance to obtain two sites together as we planned to camp with our Daughter’s family. We stayed the weekend of Sept 23, 2016. We had 2 pull through sites near the front next to each other. We camped in a 35’ Class A and our daughter’s family in a Popup. The girls at... More
