The Cheyenne smelled musty, the linen on the beds were dirty, there were spider webs all over. To make matters worse, the manager basically accused me of lying when she asked me if I notified them that I would be bringing my dogs. When I told her yes I paid for my dogs to stay, she replied, "Really, are you sure?" After I told her how much I paid for them to come, she then paused and counted in her head and said, "yep, that's the right amount." As if I had been lying all along. I did not appreciate that and will not be back. Besides, the cabin is highly overpriced for the quality.
We called and asked about their trout pond. They said it was open and running. When we got there we are told that kids have been feeding the trouts all day long. The pond was tiny tiny, kids around still throwing food. So trouts were not interested at all. They say the focusing poles and the bait was included, the fishing poles are in terrible condition, not usable. Then they said to us to see the other beautiful areas they have... went to the farm and we didn’t even go in because it looked so ragged that it wasn’t worth it. Then we went to the playground... I have really nothing good to say about it. Only a young lady at the front desk was nice, the other lady looked tired and was not very nice. I wouldn’t wast time and money.
It was an okay trip. My kids loved the playground and the petting zoo. They pack you in like sardines; we could touch the tent next to us from our tent. The bathrooms were not cleaned the entire 3 days we were there. We bathed with wet wipes. They try but dont spend enough on upkeep.
We've been camping at Enota for years...RV and tent. If you're looking for Glamping, this may not be your place. But if you're looking for beauty, relaxation, the sounds of water flowing over rocks, a visit to a farm, hiking, mountain views and fall colors...this is your spot. You're close to Blairsville, Hiawassee and Helen, the AT, and Brasstown Bald. You're likely to get a site near one of the many creeks, and while you don't find a cell or wifi signal often there, the freedom of unplugging for a while is a gift.
After we check out my friends when to the water fall and I got in the shower as I came out I was waiting by the car for my friends to get back and I seen a supervisor talking to a employee a lanky with back hair , I ask her “excuse me ma’am do you know how long it takes to get to the water fall ?” “Lady “ I don’t know you ! Who are you ! At first it though me for Loop bc she completely ignored my question and said again who are you and why don’t you know how far the water fall is are you sneaking in here? Now is a good time to say I am a disabled veteran with a 100% ptsd with the va But she look at me and accused me of trying to get out of paying a 10$ water fall fee , she said again who are you I told her my name for the second time and said I stayed here last night my…
