We enjoyed our stay here. The campgrounds were clean and well kept. The bathrooms were older, but were clean. Soap and toilet paper were regularly replinished. It rained most of the time we were there - the roads do get quite muddy.

Scenic and tranquil. We used to camp here for years. Last year we swore we wowouldn't return due to the filth and loud drunken brawls we witnessed. Previous owner is now gone. Campground is now clean and quiet. Grass mowed and tidy bathrooms. We plan on resuming our monthly camping trips to this beautiful campground. We plan to contact all... More

Camped at this campground for 3 nights during Labor Day weekend. If you love the outdoors you will love this place. We picked lot 6 which is a short distance walk to the river. It is a nice, relaxing and remote location. The campground is only 7-10 minutes from the university of north Georgia Dalohnega campus. It is very rustic... More

If you are a camper that loves the 'KOA Experience' of graveled tent pads and falling asleep to the roar of a thousand RV air conditioners, this is NOT the campground for you. A friend and I spent Saturday night at Etowah River before kayaking the river on Sunday. We were in the primitive tent section and I think that... More

The worst campground I ever stayed at. Owner intoxicated and dirty looking. bathrooms disgusting. Many intoxicated people loud and fighting. I would never stay there with small children. We should have been paid to stay there.

the worst campground we've ever stayed in. we waited 30 minutes at the office to be checked in & when no one appeared we found our own sight. the highly intoxicated owner showed up a few hours later to collect our money. cash only and no receipt. the scenery would be beautiful if the trash wasn't overflowing & blowing into... I camped out right on the bank of the etowah river. I had an electric outlet right beside my tent. I was able to pan all day long and was not bothered at all. There was one dog that roamed around the campground and he was a very nice blue eyed dog and for a few hot dogs he would... More

Not the right choice for familes, especially with kids. Bathroom facility is a long walk from most campsites, not very clean and not always stocked. Extremely noisy at night with dogs barking and 4-wheelers running up and down the road till late into the night. Our water/electric had to be shared by at least three campsites. There are permanently parked... More

Great location and natural beauty totally spoiled by long term travel trailers in unkempt sites. Manager obviously under the influence of alcohol (at the very least!) when encountered during our 3 day stay. Numerous dogs run freely and dog feces everywhere. Bathrooms filthy with dried feces on rim/seats. Shower curtains half torn down. Loud drum playing and traffic until early... More

We came to this campground expecting to have a great, peaceful 3 nights. Instead, we got a nightmare. The manager came to the check-in reeking of alcohol. The grass had not been cut in quite awhile. The bathrooms were nasty! We had to listen to a blaring radio play late into the night. The worst of it all was the... More
