The hotel room itself was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were nice and the TV was good. mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot on the room. Not very sound-proof though as I could hear the loud family leaving at 6:30am. I did not know that the hotel allowed pets and I am VERY allergic to dogs. People had their dogs all in the lobby and in the breakfast area which I felt was extremely unsanitary. I did not have any allergic reactions in the room, but I did wonder if they have specific pet rooms. Will be asking that question for any hotel in the future. Continental breakfast offered but was very slim. packaged muffins, watered down juice, waffles, 2 kinds of cereal, bananas, and oranges. Friendly staff. Nice location if you want to visit Helen or Dahlonega but hotels in the city are full or too pricey. Only about 30 min away from the major tourist spots (Helen, Unicoi, Cleveland, etc)…
The sign on the Marque says, "Great Breakfast". Booking site stated there was a hot, great breakfast. So we got up early to go down and have breakfast to find: a few bananas, some cuties, high fiber yogurt, and a box on the counter with some type of danish in the box...that was it!!! They had coffee and some orange juice. It was sad. Also, the room wasn't too bad, it seemed clean and beds were comfortable but when I went to get the coffee ready; there was a used coffee filter in the water dispenser.
I thought the accommodations were very good for the money that I spent. I wish that it would have been a little closer to the Fast Pitch tournament that we were attending. The girls really enjoyed the indoor pool.
Over recent three months have been in town frequently for business...my "regular" hotel was 20 miles away and $35/night more... I ONLY wish I knew Baymont was available! WOW!!! ...EXCELLENT Bedding AND mattress ...ultra clean room ...spacious ...above average furnishings ...water pressure to spare ...just one ding: no breakfast HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Great experience at this site. It was clean, comfortable, affordable, and the beds were great. All linens smelt very clean which is important for us. Great shower with LOTS of hot water! Although we had a couple of small issues, the proprietor handled them quickly and was very helpful , kind and concerned. Breakfast is limited due to Covid, but still had enough to choose from - coffee, juices, fresh fruit, prepackaged muffins and pastries which were plentiful. We’ll stop again if we’re in the area.
