Spent a night there in May. Jenna and Letty are perfection. The inn, the room, the breakfast and the hospitality were top. The property is designed like it could be in Jackson, Wy. Will definitely stay there again if we get back. Long trip from SF, CAL. Worth it to stay here and see the country.

My husband and I spent three nights at this wonderful spot. The room was very comfortable, clean, and cozy. There were a lot of sitting areas, including a screened porch, available to guests. The wine and cheese was a nice appetizer before walking a few blocks to enjoy dinner. The breakfast provided was delicious and the service was wonderful. Thank you, Letty. They served the best coffee and breakfast on our twelve day trip. Should we make it back to Clayton this is where we would stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Each shared space had its own charm and we wanted to sit everywhere and just take it all in. We lucked out by having the mountain laurel suite. That bathroom! We enjoyed the special bathtub and just the overall space and ambience of it. Also, having the small, but useable workout room was a bonus to me. I used it each day and this made a big difference to how we enjoyed staying here (one person being an early riser and the other not). The location is inviting with Clayton being so walkable to several good eateries and some shopping. All the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. For instance, I asked for plates and silverware to use with the food we brought back for dinner and that was instantly accommodated. We appreciate a smaller inn and being made to feel special by the staff while there. The White Birch Inn was no exception. Also, the sister property - White Birch Provisions - has some of the best coffee and baked goods. We skipped our last breakfast at the Inn to enjoy some items and specialty coffee drinks here. You do get a voucher for 15% off there and I highly recommend using it! They have lots more to buy there, too. The only thing I'd mention, which I've found to be true at the Inns we've visited, is that the variety available for breakfast does become generic after a while. In this case, having the bakery available at White Birch Provisions be a bigger part of the breakfast offerings would really set this over the top. As is, the coffee cake we had (which is available at the bakery) was so dry and hard as to be unappealing. Breakfast and snacks are nice, but need to be special to match the level of the accommodations. However, that is just offered as constructive feedback. The place is wonderful and a destination in and of itself.

We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to write a review. We are so thrilled that you enjoyed your time with us! And we genuinely appreciate the constructive criticism. It helps us so much with our growth and the ability to give our guests the best experience possible. As for your critiques, the bakery amended its coffee cake recipe just this week because we had noted that it did seem a little dry, so our most sincere apologies about that. As for the breakfast menu items, we completely understand your "generic" comment. At the end of the day, we are a small (fairly new) business, so we are making strides each and every day to improve however we can. We are hoping to add to our already large breakfast menu. Just last month, we were able to introduce several new menu items such as quiche (from the bakery), local stone-ground grits, home fries, and oatmeal. Along with these items, we also have vanilla yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit/yogurt/granola parfait, eggs to order, waffle, toast, English muffins, sausage, bacon, fresh squeezed, juice, coffee, etc. As we continue to grow, we will certainly do our very best to get more creative with our breakfast menu, so thank you so much for your suggestion! We will definitely be sure to add at least one more item from our bakery so that our guests feel that they have more variety from which to choose. We look forward to seeing you again in the very near future!

My wife and I spent 3 nights last week in the Hemlock Suite at the White Birch Inn. What a wonderful experience! The charming inn is centrally located with excellent restaurants, a brewery, and great hiking nearby. The cozy suite had a fireplace which was definitely appreciated as the weather turned frosty on our second night. Jenna, the General Manager, was very accommodating and Leticia, who served us a fantastic breakfast, was so friendly! This was our second stay at the inn and we will definitely be back!
