Refuses to allow service dogs. Discrimination at its best. Don't give them your business. Go elsewhere. I would give them zero stars if I could. This is against the law. Don't support this type of business.
We got this room last minute as our cabin we rented was not yet ready for check in. We received room #204 and before I let my family up to room I did an inspection of the beds only to find excrement from bed bugs along with adults and cast skins from them in the dust ruffle as well as the mattress in the bed closest to the window. I immediately told my family of my findings as well as the front desk and explained I had pictures of what I found and he did not want to see them. The young gentleman at the desk that night Jan. 15th did not seem surprised of my findings and did not offer an apology nor a refund. I had to ask for a refund in which the gentleman said “the owner is the only one refund stays and he is out of the country”. He did say he would pass along my information in the morning to the manager and would have them call. No call, surprising. I had to call and said they weren’t available and gave me an email address to email the owners directly, which was the same email as the hotel. No response. Absolutely disgusting that an establishment does not care about its customers in this day. DO NOT STAY HERE!…
This review is only about the management failing to live up to their cancellation policy. Can't speak to quality of lodge or services onsite since we didn't stay there this time. I had had a good experience with the lodge in 2020. Made reservation in mid-October for night of 5 Nov by calling lodge front desk. On 3 Nov, our vacation plans changed, so called front desk to cancel, 2 days before the reservation. Was told we wouldn't be charged for the room. Opened credit card bill on 2 Dec, saw we'd been charged full price for the room. Called 4 Dec to ask for refund, but manager argued several minutes, finally just told me "there's nothing I can do." I believe they owe us $111.79. I give this 2 stars instead of 1 because I foolishly didn't insist on a cancellation confirmation number when I called on 3 Nov. Lesson learned.…
While the hotel is in a great location and Carol at the front desk for the last two nights was wonderful…the rude man during the day ruins the experience. He is the owner and said he doesn’t care if he gets a bad review. So here it is! Save yourself the frustration and don’t stay there!!!!
The woodsy look of the lodge was nice. Wooden doors and walls. A cabin look to a hotel. The fire pit was not working/available during this stay even. I was not notified of this when I booked on the lodges website and it was an important amenity for us. The beds were very hard and sheets were stiff like cheap toilet paper. Fridge in room wouldn’t work, dust on the blinds. The breakfast was a typical muffin, juice from a machine options. Tv in my room wouldn’t play anything. I called the front desk (many times with no answer), I finally reached and asked why it wouldn’t play cable channels and the man said, “you check out in a few hours so I will not fix that. I’m busy.” Wow!! I had another interaction with this same man (Indian man who I believe is operating the property) on a different day regarding the booking arrangements and he was very rude.…
I wish I could give this a negative 5 stars!!! We own a business and had to check out early due to a work emergency. We were told twice by the front desk we would be refunded. ( We are accustomed to being charged when we check out, not check in.) When the refund did not show up within 7 business days we called and the owner said he there was no record of our stay, that we needed the confirmation number and then we would be refunded. When we called back with the requested information the manager told us, "NO refund" and hung up on us. Rudeness and dishonesty are very poor business practices. I have no idea how he is still in business. Even if this were a great motel, which it is not, I would not recommend staying here.
A lodge in Blue Ridge, GA. The room was dirty, there was no elevator, making it difficult to climb stairs with luggage, and the desk clerks were rude. The so called continental breakfast was inadequate and served in a small space. Look elsewhere!
Something died in the room. The smell was so bad we could not stay in it. The a/c was not on so that wasn’t the problem. The owner had disappeared and the awesome cleaning person tried to get rid of the smell to no avail. She actually moved us to a different room and when I turned on the air in the room a different horrible smell wafted out. We couldn’t use it. Thankfully temps dropped to the 40’s so we slept with the window open. Pictures of the a/c unit explained some of the smell in the 2nd room. I couldn’t breathe. If that wasn’t enough, the toilet was broken. No alarm clocks in rooms.
If I could give less than a 1 star review, I would. Extremely rude!!! We checked in late on Friday night after 11pm, very tired only to have to have a huge conversation about our Service Dog not Emotional Support but trained service dog with the owner of this establishment. All hotels in the area were booked, so it was drive back down the curvy roads, sleep in the car or just sleep there for a few hours and go. True to my word with the owner, we slept there for a few hours and checked out first thing on Saturday. After the confrontation with him, I did not trust him or his staff not to cause an issue with my husband's heath or my husband's service dog. I understand everyone is concerned about COVID, however lecturing us on our dog's abilitiy to catch COVID, COVID lawsuits, and traveling with him is not something a tired traveler needs or wants, It actually makes you concerned that maybe you need to sanitize your rooms better if you are worried about someone suing you because of COVID. Funny, you were so concerned about COVID but yet not one single employee that I seen was wearing a mask.…
One star is not low enough. Called to see if I could modify a reservation and the person on the phone was VERY VERY RUDE.!!! The first words out his mouth were "Oh my god! What do you want!?" I just told him never mind and hung up. Very quaint hotel, but I wouldn't stay here again if it was FREE!!!!
