We spoke with them on the phone twice the day we were going to stay. We were hiking over Blood Mountain and wanted to stay here. Not once did they bother to tell us they close at 5! We arrived at 5:15 to find them closed.

To clarify, everyone has the opportunity to make a reservation and can check in at any time, 24 hours/day. We welcome thru-hikers to "walk-in" for a discounted rate. Our store hours are posted on our website as closing at 5:00 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sat and noon on Sunday. We are typically closed on Wednesday. As a courtesy to...

Although we were here to support out AT hiker, we tool some days for ourselves and to see the area (winery, gold panning, shopping...and, well other things!) We were very pleasantly surprised at the comfort, view, and friendliness of the staff (shout out to Matt, the owner). Individual cabins, with kitchens, living area and wonderful decks. It was cold for...

First off my kid wanted to literally take the cabin with us. Nothing fancy or over the top. A one bedroom cabin with a very nice loft area that we could live in. We got away from the busy life and took a mom daughter trip up to Blood Mountain. It was perfect. The owners go over and beyond to...

We stayed at Blood Mountain's Beaver cabin for a full week in February. The cabins' proximity to numerous state and national parks, and easy access to other mountain region amenities throughout Union, White, and Rabun counties, makes it a great choice for tourists looking for a local escape. For hikers, being less than a mile from Walas-yi and the Appalachian...

We reserved two nights at Blood Mountain Cabins - Deer Cabin. If you are looking for a Holiday Inn Express experience, then stay there. This is a rustic retreat. These cabins are small, cozy, and rustic. Perfect for a get-away weekend. Sixteen cabins are located inside a "U" the highway makes as it winds its way up the mountain side....

We accessed the AT here at Neel Gap. The country store is amazing; boasting packs and shoes of those who survived the trail. There is a lovely section of the trail that is moderate for hiking. The views are splendid. The drive to the access point is lovely with streams and small waterfalls visible from the road.

My husband & I stayed here for 5 nights & loved our cabin! The mountain view we had was awesome. We had a fire going every night in our fireplace. The only drawback or downfall is the noise from the traffic on the road, but it wasn't bad at night. The owners were friendly & helpful. Oreo (their cat) became...

We stayed at blood mountain cabins for a girls getaway weekend. The owners were very nice and helpful with hiking suggestions and directions. Our cabin was quite comfortable with a wonderful view and a fabulous fireplace. The cabins are definitely a little outdated, but the owners are in the process of remodeling. Upon entering our cabin, it was very musty...

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry that you feel you were "charged extra" for a creek view. You stayed in one of the lower priced cabins as we have one for $79, 4 for $89 and the rest $99 and you stayed in a $89/night cabin. We reserve the cabin that you specifically request...

The place could be nothing more than stick hogans for cabins and pit privy's for facilities, and the general and obvious kind hearted spirit of the owners would it feel like the Taj Mahal. Nice mountain retreat well located away from several small mountain towns in all directions to any outdoor recreation, food , music and or tourist area. FABULOUS...

This was one of the best places we stayed on the whole AT. Clean, super spacious, very cool rustic vibe, and the $70 some thru hiker rate made it an awesome stay. Its just a great value for how much space you get with two stories and how cool a cabin it is. They did our laundry for free and...
