The location of the hotel can't be beat. It's within walking distance of so much! Like others said, it is a nice, charming, old hotel. Some rooms are a good bit bigger than others - our room was a bit small including the desk area, which was too small to be functional. The bathroom was also a bit small but...

Chosen for the location and it was perfect to get to campus as well as the shopping/dining along the main street. Property is dated. Charm was lost on me, but if you're looking to step back in time it may suit you. Bring earplugs if trains wake you; if your room faces back that way, you'll hear the 11pm and...

Greetings Paul K, I appreciate you taking the time to write a review of your stay at the Hotel, and am so pleased that you found it convenient to the College and to shopping/dining. The Hotel decor is definitely set in the age of the time it was built, and we have several beautiful antiques and vintage pieces, which we...

What a find! Pia and her staff are SO accommodating and helpful. I instantly felt more like welcome family than a guest. Each staff person was happy to assist with any need I had: from getting my bags to my room, making restaurant suggestions and helping me map out a nice long walk. I can't wait to stay there again....

The Park Plaza Hotel is a unique property, right on Park Avenue in the midst of shopping and restaurants and within walking distance of Rollins College and the Morse Museum. It has a wrap-around balcony so on a lovely day, most rooms have balcony access and a view of the park or street below. The lobby is possibly the smallest...

So this hotel is a bit of a landmark in Winter Park having been in place for many decades. However, it seems since the nearby Alfond Inn opened the business has collapsed - and it shows and I can see why. This is a perfect location on a corner of the highly trendy Park Avenue in the equally chic Winter...

Greetings John_scalpel, Trip Advisor is a wonderful tool that we in the industry highly respect, as it enables guests to point out deficiencies as well as hand out accolades where they are due. We truly welcome that, as even the most critical review can help to reveal deficiencies that we were maybe unaware of, subsequently serving to improve things for...

We booked the Park Plaza for a Valentine Getaway. The downtown Winter Park location is beautiful and so interesting! We thoroughly enjoyed our Park Avenue people watching during cocktail hour on our greenery filled balcony. Our spacious king suite was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the linens were beautiful. BUT....The bathroom was tiny and there was nowhere to...

Nice 100 year old hotel in center of town. Nice lobby with nice decor. Nice people who are very accommodating. But, the rooms are ridiculously small and poorly decorated. Queen bed filled the room to the point where u could not turn around without hitting corners. They do offer you breakfast and encourage you to have it in your room....

Greetings, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of your stay at the Park Plaza Hotel. We take our reviews very seriously and constantly strive to improve based on the thoughts and suggestions of our guests. I read previous reviews and thought to myself, a train whistle shouldn't bother me, and the walls can't be that thin. Sadly I was wrong. The lobby is gorgeous and the staff very helpful. The room was okay and looked out on the Park across the street from the second floor balcony. The train stops running around 10:30PM, but traffic...

Good Morning Susan L, Thank you so much for reviewing your stay with us. I was so sorry to learn that you were disappointed with some aspects of your stay, and I will certainly do my best to address your points. There is no denying that the train is very much a part of our lives. The railroad actually built...

Upon researching hotels in the winter park down town area the selection is limited. We chose the park plaza hotel because of its location. We were in town for a wedding and needed to attend rehersal, rehearsal dinner, the wedding and post wedding brunch. So we needed to be in the area for 3 days and two nights. The location...

Good Morning Kristina P, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough review, and wish to immediately reach out to you and apologize for the confusion with your reservations. Park Plaza's positive assets are its excellent location and very friendly staff. But the hotel is cramped and underinvested. We have stayed in many older hotels and they require more loving care and attention. This hotel has not had that benefit. Our supposedly superior room was cramped and the facilities were tired: from creaking bed to creaking floor to poor...
