The hotel is in many ways more like a large old bed and breakfast. Very clean and very nice (and I'm called a hotel snob, very picky). Staff was good people. Antique furniture and fixtures. Faucet was a bit drippy and the toilet was finicky...More
If you are looking for an ordinary hotel room, this is not the place for you. This is a charming B&B. The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was excellent -- with lots of choices. The room was neat and clean.
My husband and I recently stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was built in the 1920's and is furnished with appropriate furniture and fixtures for the era. The hand operated elevator is charming, as are the staff members who operate it for you....More
We came to bike the West Orange trail and a friend told us about the Edgewater hotel.
The staff is so welcoming, the room is clean and the breakfast was excellent.

We usually lock our bikes inside our vehicle. The staff at the hotel is very accommodating so I'm sure they would be more than willing to help you bring them upstairs. The West Orange Trail is one of our favorite trails and downtown Winter Garden is beautiful with many fine restaurants and shops. Check out the Plant St Market and don't miss the Farmers Market on Saturday. Also take an evening stroll down to Lake Apopka.
Winter Garden, and the hotel are 13 miles from central Orlando. However the Orlando airport is probably 10 miles to the southeast of central Orlando, so my best guess is that it is 25-30 miles from the airport.
