I was staying at the residence inn for a week and I saw the reviews thinking "how bad can it be, we're just going to be using the room to crash while we're on vacation, we probably won't be in it most of the time" the carpets have stains that look like feces, the first day we opened the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom to find huge roaches in it. Every time you went up and down the stairs there were roaches dead and alive on the stairs. I had a few packages sent and the packages were thrown out by the staff despite having told front desk staff on multiple shifts that they would be arriving, completely unprofessional. No one wears masks and housekeeping is currently only for if you're staying a week or more. Which we understand with the pandemic going along. However when we had reused their towels and followed their guidelines asking for 24 hours minimum for the housekeeping request, the front desk had told us we had left a DND on the door, which being from the hospitality industry I know better not to do. Honestly if another hotel is nearby and is a little more expensive, go for it. If we hadn't prepaid the reservation, we would have left the first day. It's outdated, dirty, and unprofessional. Don't do it, spend the money elsewhere. Worst Marriott Property I stayed in.…
As a Titanium Elite manner I was stunned at the poor condition of our room. I’ve stayed in budget hotel/motels years back in better condition and cleaner than our room (which we promptly checked out of - and were refunded our money). Service - the service was good. Only good thing about this place. I’d rate it 9/10 stars. Price - the price wasn’t horrible for the area, but I’d never feel right paying 50% of what they were charging for that room. 3/10. Maintenance - the bathroom door didn’t lock - it “locked” but did it latch so pushing it opened it right up. The walls had gouges on them, towel racks had been moved but old fasteners painted over and bulging from the walls. The transition strip on the floor was severely damaged and almost a trip hazard. The carpet had MANY stains - some dark and some larger white spots. The tile on the shower walls was missing caulk and grout in multiple places. In one shower the Soap holder was broken and hanging on the wall. There was white paint dribbles on the carpet as you entered the room from the door jamb dripping when painted. Honestly, 1/10 is too high of a rating. Cleanliness - I already put the stained carpets under maintenance but they were all around dirty looking. They were old “felt damp” and just had a dirty feel / look. One shower had pubic hairs on the tub surround! Both shower floors had major staining(?) on them - they looked like they were not cleaned in years and the buildup / staining was disgusting. The pink tile shower walls had “scum” build up on them and looked cloudy in the poorly lit “yellow hue” bathroom lighting. 1/10 is the most appropriate rating here. While we ended up paying about 30% more, we checked into the other Residence Inn on Hibiscuss just 5 minutes away and on the downtown strip. Would rate that one a solid 10/10 on the same above topics. Complete night and day experience! Honestly, I’m embarrassed for Marriott having a place like this. I have stayed in “old/outdate” Marriott properties as Ive traveled for work the past 11 years. While they need updating, they are ALWAYS maintained in good condition and clean. Never is their the maintenance issues or staining we experienced here. I hope management takes this review to heart, as well as Marriott Corporate as I will be contacting them as this is simply damaging the Marriott brand.…
First thing that hits you when you step into the elevator is the smell of mold and mildew, and when you open the door to your room it's So BAD it will make you sick. But yes it gets worse. Not only is the place infested with toxic air every thing is rundown used up and looks like it was salvaged from a dump. The carpet is severely stained and crunchy when you step in it.The bathroom unbelievably gross.Booked a two week stay and one night was enough for me
We stayed here overnight for a family wedding. We have stayed in many Residence Inns. This one looks like your typical Residence Inn but the bathrooms are old and unrenovated and the carpet in one of the bedrooms had what appeared to be blood stains in several places. That coupled with old grungy shower curtains was pretty gross. We had called in advance and asked for late checkout because the wedding was in the afternoon ( we are Platinum so we have guaranteed late checkout). When we arrived they said they couldn't guarantee it, ask in the morning. So in the morning the front desk clerk said no. We explained the reason we need it is the wedding doesn't start until 4pm, where are we going to stay until then or change our clothes? ( don't want to change clothes in a public bathroom during Covid). She said no again. So my husband called Marriott platinum elite # while standing at the front desk, this made surly desk clerk call someone who informed her that Platinum members do get late checkout. She begrudgingly said ok.…
I will never make a reservation in this Residence Inn anymore. Dirty filthy shower curtain and bathtub. Find piece of hair (nose) in dish soap. Dried toothpaste (from previous teeth brushing) on faucet. Dirty towel. Dirty sheets It was so digusting. How are you protected your clienteles from COVID19. This note at the door is not enough, Cleanliness is better.
