We arrived after a long day of travel; and found that the room type we selected was no longer available. No worries… the exceptional staff and management at the Ramada by Wyndham Venice Hotel Venezia made sure that our stay was perfect! Rather than put us in a lessor room, they substituted a beautiful suite that was far nicer than the room we originally reserved.
We ate breakfast twice in the hotel’s restaurant, and found it to be very reasonably priced. On Saturday night, we tried the “All You Can Eat” London broil and commented that the quality of the meat and side dishes was excellent.
This hotel is located on Venice’s main road (Highway 41) allowing easy access to businesses, shopping, restaurants, and watering holes of every kind. The large outdoor pool and hot tub appear to have been recently installed, and are very popular with the guests; as is the poolside bar, which has live music on some evenings.
The bed in our room was very comfortable; and my wife commented that the centrally located glass-enclosed gym was not only beautiful, but also felt much safer than gyms in other hotels.
The entire staff was extremely friendly and efficient. All-in-all, the Ramada by Wyndham Venice Hotel Venezia was a great value, and we will definitely return.

We had an enjoyable experience from check in to check out. The room was clean and there were plenty of supplies for our five nights. Housekeeping was very pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant was excellent. We sampled the Early Bird specials and the nightly specials and were very impressed. The pool is very unique and well-maintained. I wish there was a little more shade, but that's just me! There are plenty of areas to walk the dogs and the extra charge was very reasonable. Great location. Great service. Great food and drink. What more can one ask for!

Extremely nice & efficient staff including housekeeping. Loved hanging with Debbie (shout out from Salem) at the poolside bar. The food is really pretty good and the drinks are well-poured. It is problematic that the pool is not confined to hotel guests. Neighbors enjoying coming to the bar, bring their kids; things get crowded and LOUD at night. It also increases the competition for chairs around the pool, and some drunken antics. Guest rooms are fine, we were very surprised that our room was a suite with living room, full kitchen, dressing room, bath & bedroom. Pro-tip keep some of the towels from the toilet area in the sink area so you can dry your hands. Bath floors are very slippery when wet so bring shower thongs. This hotel is just two blocks from the Legacy bike trail, which runs from Sarasota to Casperson State beach. We rented our bikes from Bike & Trikes who were nice enough to deliver them to the hotel (hotel needs a bike rack) and the front desk helped us return them. Breakfast on site is very nice, even if it looks busy once they get your order the food comes out swiftly.

We had issues with the room being cleaned, the front desk said no manager was available on the week end but he was there, they need additional training. But Steve took care of it along with the head of house keeping. Jodi in the restaurant was very helpful in getting to the right person and a great waitress and hostess, she is the reason we stayed. Then at check out they were not able to give me a receipt and after 3 phones call and already being gone another manager JC took care of it. The food is great, the rooms have been remodeled, the pool is very nice, there is a laundry, exercise area, a sitting area, an outside bar area, a small business area. We would go again as it is very central to everything. We were there for business and pleasure.

This is our second winter at The Venezia. We stayed longer this time so we could enjoy all they offer. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Quick to answer any questions and housekeeping is quick yet thorough. We love that we can bring our maltipoo who loves the staff too and can sit with us at the outdoor bar and restaurant right by the pool. This morning we went to their breakfast buffet! Great food and service. Jaimie T was quick to greet us and made us very comfortable as we tried every bit of the food from fresh fruit to eggs waffles and meat and oatmeal with all the fixings. We also attended the all you can eat Fish fry held every Thursday. We had a taste of the fried, grilled and broiled and all were worth going back for.
The pool is always well maintained as well as the hot tub and the grounds are beautifully kept. There are areas with picnic tables and smoking areas which are far away from the eating areas and the pools. They provide bags for easy dog clean up with grassy and sandy area for your pet.
They’ve thought of everything. Go see Jaimie T in the restaurant and Charlie at the bar. Both very attentive. Staff is awesome and one gave us a free meal voucher to enjoy the breakfast buffet. Can’t wait until next winter when we can come back to enjoy it all in Venice once again.

Buyer Beware-pictures on sites like this make this hotel look in better shape than it is. Lots of wear and tear, and the room and facilities showed it. Food (or blood) stain on curtains, surfaces not really clean. Air conditioning was ok and loud, not really keeping up when it was warmer. Lots more exterior access rooms than interior. The pictures only show interior. Cleaning service only came once (after we called) during our 4 day stay. Walk in shower leaks into the bathroom floor, creating a slip and fall hazard. Smokers around the pool and in the hot tub (posted as nonsmoking) spoiled the use of these two amenities. Very disappointing experience. We won’t be returning.

We needed a place to stay while riding a charity bicycling event. This place got good reviews and was convenient. However, our room was full of baby roaches, especially in the bathroom. Do you know how hard it is to get a good night's sleep knowing there are roaches in your room?? During checkout when I mentioned the bug problem, there was no offer of a discount or even an apology! All I got was "thanks for telling me"!! On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was nice. However, not a single staff person was wearing a face mask and at breakfast, there were shared serving utensils (luckily we were first in line). Would not recommend this place. Expected better for the price!

The staff was extremely attentive from front desk, servers and especially Ryan Brown a maintenance tech.
My only complaint was room cleanliness. We'd checked in to a sweet 234 and it was very dirty so we moved to 222 to find it equally as dirty. We used an entire small container of lysol wipes to clean it up, had the sheets changed and mopped the floor. Ryan was very attentive in helping us as was Jamie and the front desk.
Location is good, food is good, staff is good with the exception of house cleaning.

Service animals are always welcomed at no charge!
About one minutes walk to some fast food restaurants and also across the road. Lots of shops etc in a 5 minute drive too.
