I have worked with the Venice FL Ramada for over two years planning a conference for 300 active and retired law enforcement professionals. The management staff was always available to work with us and communication was always available. The physical layout of the hotel was perfect for our conference and our guest were very happy. The banquet facilities are very versatile and can be configured in multiple ways for different events and can be completely opened for a large group. I have received numerous compliments on the food quality and taste. Most from people that go to a lot of conferences and conventions. Some told me it was the best food at a conference they have ever had!! I must say myself it was delicious and I have to agree. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. My room was clean and fresh. I witnessed the manager walking and inspecting the hotel rooms on our check in day making sure everything was clean and ready for our guest. I really appreciate the attention to detail. Our guest loved the Pool bar and the hotel restaurant many not wanting to leave the facility. Everyone was happy with the restaurant’s selection and food quality. The banquet manager is on top of her game and handled everything perfectly working with us to make for a perfect event. I highly recommend this hotel not only for events but for anyone who is looking for a vacation stay in paradise. Venice FL is a beautiful place with amazing beaches and sites. The room was smelly and musty as I entered but as the night went on my throat became scratchy and I became very congested. It was clear I was having an allergic reaction. The next morning I left my room in distress and went to urgent care. I was prescribed steroids and antibiotics -the doctor was sure it was due to be exposed to mold over night. I did not stay as I had planned.

Dog owners will be ripped off. We spent WAY too much money for two nights plus a fifty dollar pet deposit. I spent $125 for a Thursday and $175 for a Friday night. Room is small, towels frayed. My husband went to front desk to get more towels for our second night and heard a quote of $118 for Friday ?!? The pet friendly rooms face away from the lovely pool area you see on website towards a perimeter of broken plastic fencing. Check-In staff person was flat and unwelcoming. Could not enjoy pool area too much because rude smokers camped out under canopy as opposed to the designated smoking area - wafting their stench over the entire space. We did not patronize the onsite restaurant, as we felt staff was so indifferent to our comfort. In our room, anything higher than 5 feet off the floor was coated with dust. Tile floor throughout was sticky. People want to come to Venice as tourists. This place seems to rake in big $$$ but does not take good care of their property or their guests…

This hotel was recommended as being a remodeled Ramada. My room was in the back of the hotel where I found several 18 wheelers parked. Around the hotel on the first floor, a number of guests were sitting in foldable chairs outside their rooms, and appeared to be long term stays there. This was confirmed when I held the door for an elderly gentleman who described himself as homeless. Clearly this hotel is being used to house long term guests who are less fortunate. While I have no issue with this, I do resent paying $350 a night for the weekend nights while the majority of the guests I encountered appear to be subsidized. Several nights there were six men and a pile of empty beer bottles around a picnic table. There were kind, quiet, and enjoying themselves, but this is definitely not what I expect for what I was charged. Fortunately I was traveling along. The rooms themselves are clean, modern, and well appointed. The entry door, however, was from the original hotel with many layers of paint, which made it difficult to open and close. The pool and bar area was well worn and less than clean. Walking the grounds I kept a close eye on several large dogs that were not leashed and doing there business in the middle of the motel area. Breakfast was an additional fee. I found this particularly insulting, given the price of the room. I wouldn't have eaten there at any rate. I do No Recommend.…

We recently had a surprise birthday party for over 50 people in the hotel's large event room. It was fantastic! The staff was very helpful in preparation for and during the party. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. There had been many food options and the three we chose were perfect! The Antipasta Platter was a big hit as well. I highly recommend this facility for any event you're planning. I give it 5 stars!!

We went for Easter brunch with several friends. The cost of the brunch was $39 apiece. The food was inedible, coffee served in styrofoam, drinks in plastic glasses. Nothing about the food or service was remotely professional. Stay away. Stay far away.

I've stayed at this hotel for the last 2 years for an event I go to yearly and I must say this time I was very disappointed. Other than Dave at the front desk overnight and DJ from the kitchen who were super friendly and very helpful the rest of the staff that I dealt with especially Angela at the front desk were very unprofessional and should clearly not have a job in customer service. The lack of clean towels and toilet paper replacement was uncalled for. There are also many little maintenance issues that need to be fixed like the toilet paper holder falling off the wall and the shower curtain being ripped. I'm not sure I'll be staying at this hotel again if there aren't some major changes made.
